At the end, the movie tops itself with comic outtakes, undoubtedly the funniest finale of any cartoon feature. “Antz” may have amused viewers with its sidewise wit, but as a comprehensive vision of computerized moviemaking, Pixar's dream works. And when A Bug's Life hits its stride, it's antastic.

Lasseter and Stanton and the rest of the animators and gagsmiths use the computer with staggering imaginative freedom.

Un clásico inolvidable de la infancia, la animación es tan impecable que parece no envejecer en lo absoluto.

Smashing family entertainment: The whole thing is quick-witted, fast-paced, and loaded with clever sight gags and colorful, engaging supporting characters.

A Bug's Life, like “Toy Story,” develops protagonists we can root for, and places them in the midst of a fast-moving, energetic adventure.

So obsessed with wowing you, in every corner of every frame, that as a movie it doesn't quite breathe.

The saucy repartee will amuse adults, while the climactic showdowns -- yes, there are more than one -- are gripping entertainment for the whole family.

The most pleasure to be had from this high-tech bore is to compare the Disney world-view evidenced here (the triumph of collectivism) with that of DreamWorks’ own creepy-crawler animation, “Antz” (the triumph of individualism).

A masterclass in feature length animation pacing/editing, a bug's life stands up today as a great story well told (essentially seven samurai retold in a more family friendly format!). The excellent cast elevate the already strong script and the visuals hold up well on a 4k HDR screen. Superb movie.

As a child, "A Bug's Life" was my least favorite PIXAR film. Watching it again several years later confirms this assessment, but that doesn't mean the film is bad. Quite the opposite: Many of the gags are cleverer and more effective than expected, the technical gap from its predecessor, "Toy Story," is extremely impressive in just three years, and last but not least, I was very pleased with the many small details that bring the ant island to **** only major annoyance is the very shallow, interchangeable, and already-seen-a-thousand-times-seen plot, which to call predictable would be a huge understatement. Also annoying is the cliché of the hero who falls in love with a female character who is initially unattainable for him – until, after his success, she finally loves him back. Moments like these really drag "A Bug's Life" down noticeably. I didn't notice such things much in "Toy Story."

Günümüz izleyicisi için artık eskimiş bir yapım. Daha yeni ve kaliteli yapımlara yönelmelerini tavsiye ederim.

Why the bugs so small. One problem, too many bugs. I didn't take this as the kind of movie to have bugs in it.
