If you're like me and think that any Pacino movie is sort of worth seeing, so long as he never says, "Hoo-ha," then 88 Minutes won't be a total disappointment.

Al Pacino chews up so much scenery it's surprising there's any left by the end of this fetid thriller.

I'm guessing it's the pressure of an idiot script by Gary Scott Thompson and understandably clueless direction from Jon Avnet that forces Pacino to ham it up so vigorously that you want to garnish him with cloves and a slice of pineapple.

A preposterous misfire.

One of the dumbest thrillers to arrive it theaters in a long time.

88 Minutes holds you in a state of acute suspense, keeping you wondering until the very last minute whether this is the worst Al Pacino movie ever made.

We may have to sit through worse films to come this year, but with any luck, there'll be none as guilelessly, idiotically misogynist as this one.

A perfect fun time, quite the relaxing break from being a film snob, a really enjoyable time for all.

Notre bon vieux Pacino toujours bon pied bon oeil est ici un expert psychiatre pour le FBI et se retrouve à l'insu de son ignorance victime d'un complot machiavélique : une voix inquiétante lui signifie en effet son arrêt de mort dans... 88 minutes ! Autant le dire de suite, le complot tordu qui multiplie les suspects et les fausses pistes est complètement invraisemblable d'un bout à l'autre, même si la fin tente de se dédouaner en explications plus ou moins douteuses... Mais Pacino donne des leçons de charisme et de talent à des km à la ronde, très bien entouré (le veinard) par une distribution de gonzesses jeunes et jolies (et carrément trop jeunes pour lui) ainsi que quelques autres moins jeunes mais encore chouettes... C'est que le super psy donne des cours à l'université et a son parterre de groupies à disposition. On pourrait même dire qu'il en jouit. D'une certaine façon. Ce vieux satyre quand même. En tout cas, s'il est une chose dans ce foutoir à rebondissements impromptus, c'est bien qu'on ne s'ennuie pas. Pas une seconde. Et la mise en scène reste efficace. Un divertissement sympathique donc mais pas crédible et presque grotesque par moments. Sacré Pacino quand même !

Critics are being way too harsh on this movie. Sure, it had flaws, but this was a decent suspense thriller. I've seen this movie five times, and I really like it the same every time I see it. An ending that you might have seen coming, but 88 minutes should have been in theaters longer than 88 minutes.

A career low point for the legendary Al Pacino, i saw this in high school with my mom and sister and even then I thought it was garbage. Avoid like the black plague!!!

This may be the worst Pacino movie ever. And I am aware of the existence of "simone" and "righteous kill", so I am very abreast of his **** If you want a good movie done in "real time", don't waste YOUR TIME with this P.O.S. Check out "Nick of Time", from the mid-nineties, with Johnny Depp and Christopher Walken. It's done in "real time", and with much more success than this warmed-over turd.
