You have to be pretty far removed from your own humanity to not be touched by the desperate, often otherwise doomed refugees. And it’s easy to be inspired by the story of youth brought up to “do the right” and moral thing deciding to save lives and alleviate suffering, no matter what governments, haters and social media trolls think of you.
