Just a more punishing version of Sacred Cards. The only thing they really changed was adding its own original story. You aren't missing much.

Bad in case of game design. To play through the main game needs a lot of grind since the deck capacity and available cards are strongly restricted while your opponents dont have any of those restrictions. Spending hours to fight yugi etc. countless times is a prerequisite to beat the main story. Instead of giving your opponents nice diverse decks in the postgame, they all have pretty much the same deck with the same cards since they all have monster reborn, swords of revealing light, change of heart, torrental tribute and harpie’s feather duster 3 x each while the player is only allowed to have one ot those cards and has handicaps all the time because the duelist level and the deck cost of those cards are astronomically high. Without Ra phoenix mode, slipher or obelisk there is almost no possibility to win since all your monster cards are stolen by the opponent, directly destroyed by traps or your traps are wiped out constantly in the hall of eternity. Also you cant attack for 9 rounds. It is possible to win using the god cards but this kills the complete enjoyment of building your own strategic deck. And to do so needs really a lot of time to get to those duelist levels and deck capacities. I can recommend the prequel The Sacred Cards but Reshef of destruction is really bad designed. It is not strategically hard but it is highly restrictive in options which requires a ton of time to invest.

As a sequel to The Sacred Cards, they artificially made the game longer by increasing the amount of grinding you'll have to do which in my opinion isn't the way to solve the problem of the previous game which was it being too easy and too short

A funish extension of the previous game but it follows it's own (kinda meh) story unlike previous one, and the difficulty is ramped up, especially near the end. Only for those who really liked the previous game and wanted more.
