One of the best games of all time that you can't play without playing for extra and dumb add-ons.

The prequel we didn’t think we needed but it had such wonderful aspects of kiruys younger days and the guy with the eyepatch had a interesting story as well I loved it

One of the best stories in gaming and the gameplay is fun and has variety for all the possible styles, moves and weapons that you can choose. there is also a bunch of substories and minigames.

I came into this game completely raw. The only thing I really knew about it was that it was basically GTA but Yakuza, and honestly, at first I was annoyed as hell. The camera bothered me, there was no autosave, and I had to replay the beginning three times before the game finally hooked me. But once it hooked me, I was absolutely enamored with it. I loved the story and especially Kiryu's character development. Watching him grow throughout the story made me genuinely invested in him as a character. The music was great, karaoke was surprisingly addictive, and the amount of minigames gave the game so much personality. But what really sold me were the substories. They were quirky, ridiculous, and sometimes completely absurd, but underneath that they could also be surprisingly meaningful. That contrast became one of my favorite things about the game. The main story is obviously what kept me invested, but the substories and minigames are what made Kamurocho and Sotenbori feel alive. I went from being annoyed by the game to not wanting to put it down. Yakuza 0 ended up being one of those games where the more I played, the more I appreciated what it was trying to do. The story, soundtrack, and the whole vibe makes this game so good and enjoyable. Might be a little tedious towards the end especially the real estate and the hostess side quests. The intro of the game both version is so good.

SCORE: Mid 8, 8,5/10 Cool game, the story is good, good/memorable moments, characters are interesting and diverse with motivations their own personality, the story has interesting twists, the music and themes are good, the substories are funny as fk i laughed my ass off at some of them almost never happened in videogames to me, i find the substories even more entertaining than the main story, the environments/cutsenes are high quality and very diverse, the story is good and intense in the first 4 chapters, thenn slows down after chapter 5 to 6 and goes faster again thats why many people drop this game, at chapter 11/12 only 35% finished the trophy on ps4 which means most people quit the game. and i understand that, the pacing sometimes ****, the game has its weak spots, i also think the game is a little bit overrated and definitely not a masterpiece but its worth playing if youre the right guy. for some it could be too dialouge heavy or too akward weird substories. but it fits my personal taste. and chapter 5/6 were so boring that i almost quit the game, i stopped for 6 months playing the game then returned to it. but then again after seeing the slow pacing and sometimes low budget of the game you see the high quality animations/cutsenes/animation effects and understand how much heart and blood/sweat went into this game, like a poor development studio tried their best to develop a good game. not everyones type of game but for me it def. is. the game also has lots of sideactivities and interesting lore/dynamics but sometimes complex.

Absolute gem ****. Only thing that holds it back for me is I’m not too in tune with the beatem up gameplay of yakuza. Still fun to play but eh. Everything else though is master class

Yakuza 0 is a good game with a strong story and characters though I didn't fell in love with it.

Yakuza 0 is a very good game to start the Yakuza franchise with. The mechanics are great, story is good, and the sub-stories are goofy.

the way the game starts to how it ends and all that happens in between makes the game really nice

One of my favourite games of all time, with top of class storytelling, characters, cinematography, voice acting and dialogue, combined with some very fun beat em up combat, entertaining and expansive side content and top tier soundtrack make for the definitive way to get into the Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise, showing the origin story off series mainstays Kiryu Kazama and Goro Majima

This is one of my favorite games of all time. Fantastic storytelling and there’s so much to do with substories and side content. Can’t recommend enough!

Amazing game from start to finish-Engagingly meaningful story, characters that are lovable And hateable. Kiryu is the best gaming protagonist. Satisfying and brutal gameplay with underlying depth that is easy to pick up but very hard to master. Fun minigames on the side and banger soundtrack. What's not to love? Everyone should try this game at least once, and if you can't find yourself enjoying this game, you might be a lost cause.

A friend of mine kept telling me to play Yakuza 0, and I kept holding off because I thought it would be over-the-top and not very serious. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The story is amazing, but what really stands out are the characters. Their personalities are incredibly well written, and the voice acting is absolutely insane—it adds so much depth and emotion to every scene. The combat is fun as hell too, with different styles that keep things fresh and engaging. The game is huge, by the way, and even though I only played through the main story, it still felt like a complete and unforgettable experience.

The best Yakuza game released. The story is top notch (exept for some ridicolous reiterated bossfight) and finally the side activites are very fun to play, to achieve and master with some minimal low, yeah i'm looking at you 5 milion points Out Run... Fighting is fun, styles are good, the cash system very balanced, and overall it's not so back and forth from the same two spots like some other chapters in the series. My score suffers only for those classic un-platinum achievements, and the ethically wrong position of SEGA about re-releasing it with extra content, italian translation and remove from digital stores of the original game. vote: 8

the combat doesn't have much depth to it and i struggled to follow the story due to how it plays out, this caused me to lose interest in the characters and stop playing about 20 hours in, my friend who loves the game series actually blocked me on every form of communication when i said it was mid which bumps the score up to a 3

Ehh I don't know about this one, I really want to like this series but the story isn't interesting enough for me to care about it. I wouldn't mind the long dialogue and cutscenes if it was. The combat is very flashy but extremely unsatisfying since it's really slow, it's no wonder they made a turn-based version, that's probably what it should've been from the start. The minigames are down right horrible. SEGA has many great arcade games but they picked the worst ones possible. Generic racing game, generic shoot em up, karaoke, claw machines, etc. instead of their more influential ones like Virtua Cop, Crazy Taxi, Virtua Fighter, Die Hard, The House of the Dead, Panzer Dragoon, etc. Might give it another shot sometime down the road.

An exceptional storyline. Top-notch emotional engagement and atmosphere. The side activities are rich and entertaining. I love Majima Aniki.

This game story and characters is so freaking cool to me. And the subs stories are either emotional or wtf and I love it. Although at times I honestly do believe that no one play tested some sections of this game. But Kiryu singing is so awesome idc

Combat’s repetitive and kinda boring, but tolerable. Honestly, the whole thing feels more like watching some Japanese drama than actually playing a game. Side quests are too cheesy and childish, and they just clash hard with the main story.

Fantastic game, this was my first yakuza that I ever played and I feel in love with **** graphics are so good, the open world is rich and vast, the battles are great an bosses are memorable. As for the side mission, they are quite interesting, you will hardly get tired from those missions.

As a completionist, Yakuza 0 grabbed me by the collar and said, "You’re not leaving until you run a real estate empire, master disco dancing, and beat an old man at shogi." And I said, "Yes, sir." This game is a wild buffet of mini-games, drama, absurdity and I loved every bite.I started just wanting to finish the story. Then suddenly I was deep into karaoke, cabaret club management, toy racing circuits, and learning mahjong like my life depended on it. I came here to punch people, but I stayed to learn traditional Japanese board games.Combat? Flashy. Fulfilling. Hilariously over the top. Every fight feels like it was directed by someone who thought WWE needed more drama.Getting the platinum was a grind, sure, but it never felt like work. Yakuza 0 respects your time even while asking for all of it. Easily one of the most fun and ridiculous games I’ve 100 percented, and I say that with tears in my eyes and a karaoke mic in hand.

シリーズ最高傑作のひとつ。 どうしても今までの二転三転するシナリオに納得できなかった自分に、面白い二転三転とはこういうものであるということをきちんと見せてくれた。 特にこれは魅力的な敵キャラクターによるものだが、ギラギラと上を目指すヤクザというものは80年代という時代にしか発現することはできなかったのだろうと思う。逆にこの物語がユニバーサルなものになっているというのはうれしいことだし少し意外でもある。もしかしたらこういうような時代はどの国でも通り過ぎた記憶なのだろうか。

A great game held back by little bits here and there, the strongest point is definitely the story except for the main characters refusing to kill anyone and with whom the main girl ends up **** fighting style and progression is definitely not everyone's cup of tea. the side quests while some of them are fun, they add little to the overall progression and feels like a chore after awhile.

Absolute cinema - this is the first Yakuza game I played and let's say that now I played almost all Yakuza/Like a Dragon games. Still, this is my favorite entry. P.S. Somebody spent waiting for me in a warehouse (as Majima) for like two months while I was training hostesses in town.

What a start to clearly a storied series I had yet to try! The plot/ story elements in this game are top notch with such excellent moments in introductions, cinematics and approach, that keep one HOOKED. The combat is solid and enjoyable to use all around with the styles and options a good base, that i want to see more from. the setting is cool and crafted well for a small area. The side stories are so much fun and just such a good counterbalence to the darker plot. I found the minigame to not really be too involved but fun. I got so into the story it never felt the time to do them was right. Very worthy title.

i was sleeping on these games!!! Very deep in lore and story building, action is very fun, has great and well developed characters that develop even more throughout time, and it feels like every moment in the story is important. Side content is fun as well.

Great story line. It is nice to know backstories of Goro, and Kazuma Kiryu.

Yakuza 0 is a very solid game with an engaging narrative, interesting characters, and a satisfying combat system, though it’s not without flaws. The game has a major problem with it just not telling you things, such as a couple of chapters not telling me I have a new pager message so I could continue the game and being able to sell your points at a Dojo for overworld upgrades. I hated how you had stamina when sprinting in the overworld, and I didn’t know this was something you could upgrade at the Dojo since the game never told me until my friend told me about it, but by that point, I was already almost done with the game. I don’t even think sprinting in an overworld should have the stamina to begin with, and having to constantly stop my momentum when trying to get around faster got pretty tedious. There are also other minor problems here or there like the combat upgrades being a bit too pricey, weird mandatory subgames that felt pace-breaking, and hand-holdy tutorials through the first third of the game, but almost everything else about Yakuza 0 is truly stellar and I see why it’s a masterpiece to so many people. As someone who isn’t a big fan of RPGs and games with lengthy runtimes, I still really enjoyed my time with 0, and I’d consider it a modern classic.

This Yakuza right here is the first one i played, has the best story i've ever seen in my life. I even started playing the ENTIRE franchise. A total masterpiece, 10/10

One of the most enjoyably gonzo experiences in gaming. Two lovingly created Japanese districts, both bursting with things to do. Insanely over-the-top story with god-mode combat to boot. The different fighting styles are fun to experiment around with and tying in learning new skills with spending money was a smart move that encourages exploration and minigame play. Side stories are quirky and interesting, with plenty of fun people and things to discover. The minigames are tremendous. Cabaret Club Czar, Real Estate Royale, and Pocket Circuit could all be separate games of their own with deep customization and dozens of hours spent. Other, smaller minigames, like the Bed of Styx, Karaoke, and Telephone Club are all also a damn good time. This game is worth playing - it's uplifting, tragic, and bursting with personality and tons to do.

Story: Arguably the best story in the franchise. I write this review years after having played this game. This is the first time in the franchise where we see Kiryu actually somewhat desperate and scared of something. In the other games, there's that untouchable aura on him that, no matter what happens, you know that Kiryu will be fine. Yakuza 0 is the first game where we can see a crack on this brick wall. He's much closer to Nishiki here than he ever been to someone else except for Haruka in later games. That makes him worry for Nishiki, and vice-versa, thus creating a big sense of camaraderie between them. For the first time in the series, they managed to do a story that is consistently good from the beginning until the end. Many of the other games have some goofy plot twist that puts the quality of the writing in check, but not this one. A very interesting side of Majima was explored in this game, and it was done so well that every time the story switch characters you keep thinking about what's gonna happen to the other characters after the cliff hanger. You're always on the edge of your seat. No other Yakuza story managed to do this in my opinion.Gameplay: 10/10 sidequests. As always, Yakuza has peak side content and one of the best in the series, having only Yakuza 7 and 8 rivaling it. Most of the substories are hilarious and creative. You see, not all sidequests need to be mechanically interesting. Most of them are pretty much some goofy story, but it works because it's funny, and it makes you want to know what's gonna be the punchline. This game introduces the multiple style combat. All of them are fun, but I gotta admit that Beast is the one I used the least because it's too slow.Music: There are some good tracks, my favorite is Pledge of Demon. The tracks never feel out of place nor do they overstay their welcome. I know that some people pretty much worship this game's soundtrack, but I just thought it was good. Not memorable, but good.Overall: It's a very good game in every single aspect. Don't forget it, it's a beat 'em up, don't go expecting a lot of depth in the combat. It's basic, but it's satisfying and it gets the job done. I really can't see why this game wouldn't be a 10/10. I might change my mind later, but it's been years since I played it and I still have good memories about it.

El mejor de la Saga en cuanto a Historia, personajes, banda sonora, desarrollo de personajes, Misiones secundarias y minijuegos, las únicas quejas serian los controles y la cámara ya se sienten viejos y el gameplay se puede romper al spamear curas.

Best game of the franchise but you wont realize it until you come back after you've played the other games, not only that but the combat is fun, endless ways to attack your opponents with a GREAT story (especially Majima) the only complain i have is there's not enough karaoke songs lmao

Yakuza Zero is the perfect place to get your foot in the door on the long-running Yakuza/Like a Dragon series. Even though each game is self contained, having back story and motivation for some of the important series characters adds depth to later installments of the series. You can play this right through the story, ignoring the side missions but why would you want to? The oft-times kooky side missions add depth to a game that could have been a direct noir action game. So go and bowl, play Outrun, chat with girls from a telephone club; enjoy all the side diversions that Sega offers up to you. You will, however, want to play the game. It is a gripping story of betrayal, greed, and manipulation, one that will compel you to keep moving forward. This game is available several different ways, so there is no excuse to not try the game. Once you do, you may be one of the many who find pleasure returning to the neon lit streets of Kamarucho.

J'ai enfin terminé yakuza 0 en mai 2024 après avoir tout d'abord connu et acheté yakuza like a dragon sur amazon car pour ce dernier, non seulement il était sous titré français mais au combat au tour par tour. J'ai su par la suite , grâce à un ami que toute une série de yakuza et de suite existait mais uniquement en anglais. De Yakuza 0 à yakuza 6 . Je les ai tous acheté sur amazon également. Deux après l'achat de yakuza like a dragon que j'ai fini , puis gaiden , j'ai enfin pu connaître les débuts du protagoniste principal de la série. Le célèbre et légendaire dragon de Dojima Kazuma kiryu. Si vous connaissez la série, commencez donc par yakuza 0( et l'anglais ou vous perfectionner comme moi). Ce jeu est tout simplement hallucinant en contenu secondaire , histoires aussi loufoques que décalés, des mini-jeux pour tout les goûts ( mention spéciale pour la gestion du cabaret et la gestion d'entreprise).Sans compter le karaoké, la danse, le golf et bien d'autre.L'histoire se passe en 1988, Kazuma kiryu, est accusé d'un crime qu'il n'a pas commis. Il va se retrouver accusé car il a violemment frappé un civil qui devait une forte somme d’argent à un prêteur sur gage véreux sur un terrain nommé le " lot vide "( ou terrain vide) convoité par les yakuza de la famille Dojima pour prendre la place du capitaine Kazama **** civil sera retrouvé mort et mettra en péril la sortie de prison de son capitaine Shintaro Kazama qui règne sur la famille Dojima. Le but de kiryu sera de rétablir la vérité pour que son père adoptif reprenne sa place sur son siège de capitaine à la sortie de prison de ce dernier .Sans oublier l'autre protagoniste tout aussi important ,Goro Majima, gérant de cabaret, ex-yakuza, rejeté par sa famille pour avoir osé défier les ordres de son supérieur. Pour réintégrer la famille il devra tuer un civil , ce qui le poussera à se remettre en question après sa rencontre avec sa future **** destin de Kiryu et Goro Majima sont liés, tantôt on incarnera l'un et l'autre de personnages sur deux chapitres . De perfectionner les styles de combat de l'un et de l'autre qui sont excellent chacun , par système de roulette dans le menu.Concernant le scénario, il est passionnant, plein d'émotions, de fraternité, de loyauté, de trahisons aussi . Les cinématiques de toutes beautés et réalistes ( mention particulière pour le lieutenant Kuze dont j'adore le personnage viril et la musique qui lui est dédié à chaque rencontre). Les voix japonaises sont excellemment bien **** système de combat est du beat them all ,interargir avec le décor en attrapant des vélos, caisses et autres et des coups de grâces bien sanglants et les attaques **** y a tellement de choses à dire sur yakuza 0 , tellement de protagonistes hyper stylés et virils , sans foi ni loi , des quêtes secondaires, des missions également, une histoire noire ,sombre avec des jeux complètement barrées qui ne se prennent pas au sérieux. Yakuza 0 est un jeu qui donne envie de jouer. Un film de mafieux passionnant où vous êtes le héros, où vous vivez le film, le jeu vous montre des valeurs profondes, des liens forts et solides , une amitié et un amour sans limite, inconditionnel. Je recommande ce jeu sans hésiter. Conquise.
