Lords of the End Times is an expansion focused entirely on its protagonists, all of whom are undeniably well-realized. Thanquol is perhaps the most intriguing, thanks to his grand schemes and risk-taking nature, while Boris Todbringer answers the community’s long-standing requests. Nagash and the Glottkin round out a quartet that feels perfectly suited to this apocalyptic setting. Ultimately, the DLC’s value lies in the sheer volume of content Creative Assembly has prepared for us. And when an expansion makes us look at *Immortal Empires* with the feeling that there is still something new to discover, it means Total War: WARHAMMER III undoubtedly still has a few cards—and turns—left to play.

Lords of the End Times adds a substantial amount of excellent content to an already massive game. Thanks to the new and powerful Legendary Lords and the Devastation System, Total War: Warhammer III feels fresh again. Aside from some balancing issues and Boris Todbringer’s slightly lackluster campaign, Warhammer III, Lords of the End Times is both must-have content for longtime fans and a great place to jump in to an already excellent strategy game.

That said, it is clear that they do not revolutionize anything—nor do they claim to; they simply aim to add value to a game world whose core characteristics are already well-established. This is evident from a technical standpoint as well, given the meticulous attention to detail across all four packs—from flawlessly animated units and high-quality static artwork and cinematics to new, dedicated musical scores. In short, if you have already played *Total War: Warhammer III* and want to return to it, this is an excellent way to do so; conversely, if you haven't played it yet but are interested in these four factions, you now have a fantastic entry point into what is currently one of the best strategy games on the market.
