The touch controls start off feeling a little detached, but it will grow on you. [Issue#158, p.109]

If we pretend that Battle Arena is not a part of The Witcher franchise and is not spreading its universe too thin, it’s a good mobile MOBA, very simplified though (one basic mode, two small maps, nine characters). [03/2014, p.65]

You will not find here the familiar classic DotA gameplay with towers, bases and infinitely spawning infantry. Instead, the CD Projekt RED created the team slasher in the format "3 vs. 3" with the main goal to capture and hold control points. [Issue #195, p.81]

It's really good and a shame we can't play this anymore. Would have been so good these days.

This is a great MOBA experience very well adapted to mobile gaming. It needs more content, but so far the foundations are solid.

An exciting online arena game that's simple enough for mobile but complex enough to provide plenty of challenge.

Obviously this mobile MOBA isn't going to be able to beat out it's competition on PC, but there's a solid enough game here to scratch that competitive itch when you're away from home. Even better is that it's free-to-play and has a Witcher skin. The gameplay has you capturing and holding control points in order to run down the other team's score, whether they be real people or AI. It's not a very large game. Only two maps, one game mode, and a handful of playable characters. There's enough here though to make it worth playing on the go. Matches can go on a little long for a mobile game so be sure to have a little time set aside. The only real issue this mobile MOBA has is with the touch controls. They can just make getting around the map a touch awkward, but it's not that bad. Overall this is a great attempt at bringing a MOBA to a mobile device. It's another solid way of taking the Witcher brand into a new type of game. I give "The Witcher: Battle Arena" an 8.5/10.

A decent multiplayer mobile experience that manages to combine the domination mechanic with more traditional MOBA systems. As of right now, it still needs quite a bit of work in terms of the movement and online lag, but quite a few updates have already been rolled out, so things might get improved soon.

Quite enjoyable, but it fails in key aspects. Online is not stable and it lacks content to support the experience for a long time.

Like most MOBAs, The Witcher Battle Arena is free to play, so of course you’re free to check it out on your own accord. However, I just don’t think it’s worth your time at this point.

For now this game is little more than a noble, albeit misguided attempt to make a MOBA ideally suited to mobile platforms.

I didn't expect to write it, but it's one of the most boring games ever created, I don't represent anything, the bottom and meter of mud.
SummaryIn Battle Arena two three-hero teams fight against each other, trying to capture and hold conquest points in short, intense and action-packed battles.
