The Scourge is not flawless. Its graphic fidelity can look rough at times, and the gameplay is built around a very simple core loop that never fully develops its own strong identity. That simplicity does allow the game to move through different scenes and ideas, but it also makes the experience feel less mechanically distinct. The story is dense, sometimes almost too dense, but it is also the reason the game works. The lore, characters, and emotional weight carry the experience far beyond its technical limits. The visual direction helps cover a lot of the graphical weakness, and the music and sound design are genuinely excellent. Despite its flaws, The Scourge has enough heart, atmosphere, and narrative ambition to stand out. The gameplay may not be the main reason to play it, but the story, characters, and music elevate the whole game. Highly recommended. It deserves your time and money.

The Scourge shines brightest through its narrative, lore, and emotional connection with its characters. It builds a world that feels haunting, personal, and worth digging into, supported by music and sound design that are easily top of its game. That said, the gameplay is more simplistic than expected, and some sections lean a bit too heavily into puzzle-solving. Still, if you value atmosphere, story, and emotional horror over complex mechanics, The Scourge leaves a strong impression.

This game is a pretty good game, good storytelling and hidden details. As a Vietnamese myself, the game environment contains many aspects of our daily life, especially the Southern part of our country, where i was born and raised (since it takes place in Saigon). Still, this game needs more optimization but overall its a solid game for me.

Only worth 10 dollar.
- 4 - 5:15 hour long (if game have run mechanic will shorter). -repetitive 85% of the game slow walking 1st person horror puzzles game, one bad troll puzzle but its good for Vietnamese, some annoying bad glitches, some unfinished animation some characters, not fully translate, good story but little confusing and why game dont have run mechanic full game to make longer ??? -only good main theme song, graphics and game have 3 endings (bad ending best one).
