The Iron Oath is what happens when Darkest Dungeon, classic turn-based RPGs, and your poor life choices sit down at a tavern and agree to ruin your afternoon—in a good way. You run a mercenary company in a grim fantasy world where hope is optional, injuries are permanent, and every contract feels like a legally binding agreement with misery. It’s tactical, slow-burning, and deeply committed to the idea that actions should have consequences… sometimes several hours later when you’ve already forgotten what you did wrong. 8/10

This game is truly an amazing time through and through. The story is simple enough but good enough to keep you going. Story of revenge and a plot against a kingdom. But the combat and other mechanics is where the magic of this game really is. Not a lot of class but there are so many ways to make them and then the synergy with other classes gives you so many possibilities and depth. It only gets deeper when you add the extra from stage hazards, positioning and enemies. Manage a guild by doing quest that all have decent back ground. Manage them with equipment, upgrade them, leveling up, money management and managing of the different regions. Some area require more pelts during winter times where as areas hit with dieses may buy other items higher. This game was wonderfully put together. something you can easily play, come back to over and over and constantly have from with a variety of difficulty modes to challenge you. Seriously the only reason I'm giving this game a 9 is because the story was very predictable, not a bad thing at all. But the world they created I wouldn't mind seeing them expand. Congrats to the devs with this one.
