This is a worthy addition to the Tales of Monkey Island series. It's one that all adventure fans should own and everyone else should at least try.

There's really very little to find fault with in The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood. The puzzles are creative, fun and ramp up in difficulty in a nice manner; the script, story and acting are all outstanding, and the entire experience is just fun to play.

I simply cannot wait to see the conclusion, and am already hoping Season Two comes along sometime next year.

While not the best of the chapters, The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood's story progression and cliffhanger ending have me more excited for the next episode than I have been for any of the previous ones.

The episode is considerably longer than the last few. I was surprised and pleased to finish the trial and find substantial head-scratchers left to solve. As with all these adventures, there's little reason to revisit them once you've finished. That's just the nature of this particular beast, though. Digest it and spend a month waiting for the next one.

With only one month to go, it seems like an easy recommendation to anyone with a PC to pick up this game.

The Trial And Execution Of Guybrush Threepwood has proved that Telltale has what it takes to equal LucasArts's best. [Christmas 2009, p.114]

Charming characters, a more than excellent music, hilarious situations and lots of humour is what we'll find in this series of Monkey Island stories.

Finding its stride, The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood is the best episode thus far. The puzzles will make you think while you laugh your way through the stellar adventure, and try not to fall to Stan's seizure-inducing coat.

Episode four of the Tales of Monkey Island leaves me undecided: I like that there are more puzzles in the game, but overall this episode offers too much of a dejavu-feeling, resulting in a good, but not very good episode.
