For its well developed gameplay, extensive level offerings and superhero abilities, Superman is a iOS game that new and old fans will enjoy.

But overall, if you are a fan of Superman and love the whole multi-directional scrolling shooter genre, this game won't disappoint, especially if you played Chillingo's earlier game, Hero HD; very similar only this time you are the Man of Steel. Accept no subsitutes.

A good bit of fun. Yes, it's a little shallow and the visuals are a bit dull, but overall it makes for some good, simple game play. Will it be something that appeals to everyone? No, not really. But it is a great, arcade-like title that is ideal for killing a few minutes at a time.

Superman is a decent action game, designed around the abilities of the popular DC superhero. You can fly, shoot a laser beam through your eyes, lift a car and throw it to the space and everything else Superman can do, but you also have to deal with some unresponsive controls.

Superman would be a good iPhone app despite these negatives, if not for the frequent bugs and crashes I encountered probably once every 30 minutes of playing time.

Wow, an actually decent Superman game. While nothing to rave over, it's good to see the man of steel receive a fun interactive experience.

It's sad to see that the Man of Steel can't catch a break.

You get the feeling that the game wants to break down it's own self imposed walls and let Superman truly take off.

Ultimately, if you love Superman and you miss the days when arcade games didn't bother with all that story nonsense and just let you get straight to beating stuff up, you might get something out of this game.

The lineage of lacklustre Superman games continues with this curiously dull and lifeless effort. The gameplay feels stale and lacks variety, making this a release that you should avoid like Kryptonite.
