Despite being set in another dimension, Sudeki feels believable and somehow real.

Solid in all departments. It has some great RPG elements but nothing that is going to catch the gaming market's eye quite like "Knights of the Old Republic."

Think of Sudeki as a trip to the Renaissance faire with your crystal loving anime fan friend from the new age bookstore. You can choose to either drink in the experience, enjoy it for what it is and not scratch too deep; or you can over analyze it, shatter the illusion and trudge around miserable all day.

Developed by Climax. Women dressed as ****... It's no coincidence. Advertising this game with the phrases "full frontal assault", "you're going to love her killer moves" and "will leave you breathless" is crass and pathetic. What sells? Sex. Who buys it the most? Het guys. No doubt this stuff made many people feeling like vomiting, and then mailing it to he developers. It's an attempt to really manipulate the majority of gamers, and an insult to those of us who are not obsessed with sex.

Action fans might balk at what sounds like a standard role-playing game opening, but Sudeki soon bursts into the most intense, bone-crunching combat you'll find on any platform.

Provides some of the best action oriented combat sequences we have seen in a while on the Xbox with a touch of RPG elements thrown in for game depth. Vast and varied environments, unique special attacks and lively characters bring Sudeki to life but several small oversights become apparent as your progress.

A fun and challenging RPG. It combines multiple genre's together to create a unique RPG that's worth your time. It's got some issues to keep it from reaching true greatness. The story is weak and has one of the worst endings of all time, probably the worst ending for an RPG, but the main characters are really likable so that's something. I also found the melee combat lacking thanks to a lack of any lock on system and the fact that enemies constantly stop your combo in the middle when they swarm you. The game takes some getting used to thanks to the awkward camera. It's got flaws for sure, and while the story doesn't pull you in the gameplay will. I found myself getting lost in this games unique world for hours at a time. So if you are looking for a great RPG for you original Xbox you should look this up.

The combat system is totally unique but flounders in some clunky timing issues. The skill strikes are cool but few in number and lose their "wow factor" about six hours into the game.
75
If it wasn't for the recycled ideas plucked straight from a Japanese RPG back catalogue, along with some very poorly written NPC interactions and weak storytelling, Sudeki could have been a much more impressive and memorable action/RPG.
70
Sudeki had a lot of potential. It has been in development for a few years now and looks great visually but is let down by a slow start.
60
Sudeki is sure to be seen as a letdown by the hardcore RPG community, but there are still enough features here to recommend it. [Sept 2004, p.106]
40
Gamers looking for a long involving experience will be disappointed that the story is not nearly as voluptuous as the female characters; at around 20 hours some will consider it too thin a quest.
