Solium Infernum
We hope that discounts and word of mouth will allow this great, unique strategy game to gain the popularity it deserves.
If you are looking for a somewhat more warlike and varied RTS experience, you will come across a problem: Solium Infernum is committed to an idea and lives and dies with it, which translates into a more contained experience than you would like.
Once you've become accustomed to the pace of play and mechanics, Solium Infernum is a charming and strategic game. If you can get over the slow movement and learn the rules, you'll find an engaging grand strategy game that is rewarding on subsequent playthroughs. And, if you've got a few friends to betray, the overall experience becomes heightened. I struggled with that pacing at times, but after sinking more time into it the hurdles because less and less imposing. The only problem is you have to spend that amount of time over a series of rounds, rather than a long one or two.

Truly amazing. I've been playing the original since release and that is still immensely fun to play. This version is no different. There are so many variables that even if you think a game is lost there is usually a way back in. Or at least a way to take down someone before your own journey to the abyss.

Good implementation of mechanics, game visuals, music and gameplay. Unfortunately, the single player game won't give the experience you need as the bots here are extremely bad, but with other players it more than reveals itself. It's not a hellish Civilisation clone as many players and journalists have called it, but rather a visualisation of a board game for friends (which sort of even exists). The game has too few mechanics and too little variety for Civilisation, but for a board game, it's just **** you like competitive games or unusual style - then the game is definitely for **** the starting price, of course, is a bit high, so I recommend you to take it either on discounts in half a year or for a full price, if you really like it.

This is a very complex and fun game that will force you to use your head and think through every step. At the same time, it successfully fulfills the fantasy of war and diplomatic skirmishes and intrigues in hell, not only with gameplay, but also with good artistic processing.

Easy (but slow) to learn, hard to master, Solium Infernum punishes every mistake, being a game only for the smartest players. Remaking a cult classic, League of Geeks triumphs with depth and a great multiplayer.

This is a game that might be too dense for more casual players, but patient strategy gamers are in for a treat and a good, long season in hell.

Overall, Solium Infernum is a great option for groups of friends who enjoy strategy and/or board games. The satisfaction of success is immense. The artwork is fantastic but more unique army character models would be nice. The gameplay is enjoyable with options for different approaches. The lack of actions per turn is a bit disappointing, especially when play asynchronously.
