Soccer Kid Collection remains faithful to the original title. This worked for me, but modern audiences may not like the challenging gameplay and precision platforming. Moreover, the clunky design won't appeal to younger players.

Soccer Kid Collection (QUByte Classics) brings back a game which is something of a curiosity; a game that, sadly, hasn’t aged particularly well. Troublesome controls and unforgiving difficulty make this one purely for the die hard nostalgia seekers out there.

I’m glad that this game collection exists for someone who might have fond memories of playing this game, but I have none of the same nostalgia for it as some. And maybe I’m not the target audience for this game, but I’m also not sure if it would be something that I would want to look further into if I was just browsing the store and saw it. Which leads me back to my original question. Who asked for a remake of this?
