Skelly Selest
When you get right into the core action you quickly realise that Skelly Selest is ultimately all flash without any compelling gameplay substance.
Considering its low cost, Skelly Selest offers quite a bulky serving that will no doubt entice fans of slash and dash score attacks, and whilst far from deep, and despite some glaring issues, it’s certainly somewhat entertaining across most aspects of play. That being said, it doesn’t take too long before repetition sinks in, making this more ideal to play when you’ve an hour to spare, or, when you’re waiting for something better to install.

Skelly Selest is the perfect balance of being fun and challenging at the same time which keeps the fun factor high and the frustration to a minimum. Skelly Selest is a games that delivers a number of different genres to you and for the most part, they do a good job. Skelly Selest does have a few shortcomings here and there, thankfully though it does get more right than it gets wrong. I would however still recommend that you play the game in short bursts though because it can become a little repetitive even if it does have quite a lot of content for you to explore. The presentation isn’t the best looking and sounding game in the world it still delivers a lot of charm thanks to the retro graphics and sound design. If you can look past a few disappointing bosses, and lack of a story then you’ll find Skelly Selest to be an ambitious game that delivers a fun and exciting adventure. It very much reminds me of an Enter the Gungeon and Binding of Isaac hybrid. So with that said while not up to those standards it still stands tall enough to tip my hat to them. If you're a fan of the genre it's a must buy for the low price of admission.
