It's a great idea and proves the case that there is potential for stealth play on the iPhone, but Robbery Bob doesn't feel like it's quite there yet. Still, it's fairly interesting and there isn't much like it on iOS. It sort of wins the genre by default.

The thing which really bugged me was the misalignment of the compass controls.

Robbery Bob's learning curve is gradual, and while the level designs are not the most innovative, there are enough incentives to keep fans replaying, with lots of checkpoints and frequent instructions to make moving forward easy for the less committed. Robbery Bob is not the deepest stealth game on the App Store, but for the price it's definitely worth checking out for short burst of shifty fun.

The game is pretty good. The puzzle-like approach to stealth, nice visuals and presentation all give this an interesting look.

I really enjoy this game. It has a retro feel to it but it is exciting and pretty addictive. Some stealth based games are too slow paced for me but not this game. Great game!

Robbery Bob may not be happy about his life as a one-man crime wave, but fans of stealth games will have a good time tiptoeing past the obstacles and stealing the goods.

As far as stealth titles go, Robbery Bob is a pretty enjoyable one. The levels are varied enough to keep things interesting and the difficult ramps up at a steady enough pace that you'll never feel too out of your element or like one level is totally impossible compared to the last one. It's good for delivering some moments of legitimate fear of being caught, and the sneaking around feels authentic and tense. The game works despite the elements working against it, including some outdated graphics and painful dialogue.

Robbery Bob isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, it just isn't good.
