Pro Race Driver
Unfortunately, Ryan comes off as an unlikable, whiney cliche. Being that this is a racing game, its ultimate success resides in the on track action, as it should.
Acceptable, occasionally technically impressive but, on the whole, either at or below the par set by other driving games. This one is still recommended, but just veers a few degrees below the target that we like to call essential.
One of those games that will be remembered years down the road for anyone who plays this fine title.

탄탄한 레이싱 게임, 친구들과 함께 플레이하는 것은 훌륭했고 좋은 추억을 많이 가져다주었습니다.

If you´re looking for a realistic racing game, search no further. Pro Race Driver kicks a**! The cars handle great, while you get a cool story and stunning graphics! And the best part: the sound is a masterpiece. I´ve never heard better engine noises in video games. Check it out! Overall rating: 8.9.

Really wanted to like this but the controls just feel wrong. High speed through most corners without ever letting off the gas, then all of a sudden its too much for the car to take and you're sliding around like a greased up jabba the hutt. The physics just aren't there even for a PS2 game. I've seen much stronger graphics on this system as well. The story is an interesting idea I **** worth a cheap pick up if you need a half decent racing fix but don't expect Gran Turismo 3 which came out a year EARLIER and was way better than this. I don't get the 10's but I'll keep trying to like this.

The complete mix of tight handling, great AI, realistic car tweaking and damage, awesome graphics and sound, multiple game modes, and a great story line definitely surpassed my overall enjoyment of "GT3."

The damage model system ties in nicely with the control system and your car will begin to be more difficult to control as you lose pieces of it. You catch too much air and control is lost; you hammer the brakes and they will lock. Every detail is as it should be...

What Bam!'s 2001 release "Driven" should have, but wasn't: a good racing engine tied to an unfolding story.

The detailed plot adds an interesting twist to the genre, but honestly, all the talking gets a little old after a while, especially since the main character's usually just whining. [Feb 2003, p.135]
