There hasn’t been a shoot-em-up game in recent memory that’s made me smile quite as much as Neko Navy: Daydream Edition. Its adorable artstyle mixed with innovative gameplay mechanics and a ton of replay value will reward anyone who’s feline up to the challenge, meow!

Having beat Neko Navy: Daydream Edition, I’m still coming back for more, Yes, I’m still not exactly sure what is going on – who’s attacking and why are these cats called in for defense? But honestly, there’s no need for a coherent story when everything else is done so well.

Solid side scrolling shooter. Visuals are maybe a bit on the weird side but all in all things fit together smooth and nicely. Most importantly game play is fun and feels good too. Enemies shooting patterns are well balanced and level/boss design is engaging.

誰も日本語で書かないが、あえて日本語で。 初見でキャラクターやフィールドがゆるゆる過ぎて、シューティング系初心者向け？とか思ってプレイし始めたが大間違い。ゆるキャラの世界観に騙されるところだった。 初心者も勿論プレイ可能。それなりにマジで楽しめる。自分はシューティング系は上級レベルではないがそれなりにプレイはできる。はっきり言ってeasyでも難しい！だがはまる。これは買いだと思う。ネコアイテム集めてボム撃ちまくりでこれは爽快。ボムは得点も稼げる。 日本人以外の人に、あのゆるキャラの感覚って理解されるのかな。音楽もいい。 キャラに侮ってごめんネコネイビー。修行させてもらうわってことで初見で侮ったので10付けとく。 贔屓目無しで。

Amazing Shmup! I love the diversity of the 6 playable chars and quickly found my favorite in EUGENE the cat girl. The infinity mode is especially amazing, because it's very easy to pick up and play. Arcade mode consists of 7 different stages (with URA versions of 4 of them) and can be played on 3 different difficulty settings with DEATH being the most fun of them :3 I also like the option to train on specific stages, so that you can unlock your full scoring potential! Every Shmup fan and switch owner needs to have this game!

And in to those players attuned to punishing difficulty and high expectations, Neko Navy feels like three soft hackysacks and an earnest request to have fun. Anyone can play it, anyone can enjoy it, but for the lovers of the SHMUP genre, this is home.

Neko Navy – Daydream Edition adds some humour into the tired shooter genre by replacing spaceships with flying cats. It’s an unusual experience and doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it is a competent shooter with plenty of replay value.

Excellent game! My favorite shoot’em up so far on the nintendo switch. Everything is perfect: the visuals, the sound, the music, the challenge, the price... The game is very fun and addictive.
