That game is relying a lot on microtransactions and Fear Of Missing Out. Since 2018 I'd say, they have toned it down by making some event's last reward a gem shop or gem pony (something that will give you the premium currency every day), but they upscaled by a lot the price of ponies. I would advise you to check the Dark Pattern page on My Little Pony: Magic Princess, which is fed by real players too. When you start the game, it'll be very long, boring to farm, little rewarding, you'll see a lot of events you won't be able to finish (unless you pay with real money and even so!), and you'll be tempted to wake up during the night to succeed at some events, which I find disgusting for a game that is meant to target little girls in priority. After something like 2 years of game, you'll be able to participate events and succeed as long as you connect once every two hours (with a fair margin of 8 hours sleep), but still won't be able to afford many ponies you **** for me, I have been playing daily for 7 years, I have 1027 ponies and I am producing over 100 gems a day, yet I still have to restrain myself from buying everything I want. Also I still can't win most competitive events, but I can win the timed story events with a margin of every day 8 hours sleep and a whole day. But there are currencies (bits, hearts, shards, dress tokens...) that I have too much of and can't properly spend for something useful. About Fear Of Missing Out, the timed story events (those with the purple coins or the sapphire currencies) come back the next year after their first release, then a third time a couple years later and rarely a fourth time; the hotel ponies, rewarding fun, calendar rewards come back quite randomly but you'll surely get it next time if you at least stay in touch with the community to know when it comes back. Sales and competitive events are even less predictable, save for thematic sales like the children's day, the Pie day, the Labour Day, Halloween... but the game does reward you for being there daily and punishes you for missing a day, for instance with the calendar reward or the seasonal stores. The minigames (especially the crystal mine and the Equestria Girls ones) are old and get boring after a while; it seems the programmers who were doing these are long gone and they didn't find so far someone to refresh them. They are still adding new ponies (though nowadays it's mostly clones), new mechanics (like recently they added pets in the game, the find a pair minigame, the critter farms,...) so I don't think they're going so bad as to worry about the game closing anytime soon. But it's very frustrating to see them ignore old good features like pony editor, in favour of something like transformation. They also make limited use characters, like the ones that farm tokens for a seasonal store, you won't find them farming the same token next year, once their event is over they're just as ordinary as all the other 1994 ponies (as of April 2025) of the collection. They also are limited with what they can do with canon. They did invent characters, scenarios and transformations that don't exist in canon, but they can't take anything from Equestria Girls unless from the first movie (what a shame, there is so much good content), they also don't have the rights for gen 5 it seems (though Gameloft does have the rights to produce Mane Merge, an IOS match 3 game) but they have the whole series, the comic books and the movie. Also, they were caught red handed stealing a fan's fanart, and promptly fixed it several days later, while offering a refund to people who already purchased the character. But they do like suggestions and the support is very receptive. They don't have many glitches in my opinion, too.They also have two types of monthly subscription, which do speed up the gameplay and skip all the ads (I don't know why, but I never see ads I didn't specifically clicked to see, while some other players have banner ads and sometimes ads appearing after just closing a menu, anyway both subscriptions skip all ads). In my opinion they're not very worth it, or at least not every months. I wouldn't be able to keep a high productivity to go with it for more than a month in a row, I would need a break! No, if you want to encourage the devs, or just have some advantage in the game, go buy a gem shop like Discord's Pumpkin or Manehattan Jewellers, which are exclusively available in real money bundles. But in the end, do you want to give more money to Bolloré? I am conflicted because the devs seem to be less conservatives and more okay with things like canon lesbian characters.

My Little Pony is without doubt one of the worst kids' TV shows in history. Despite being highly successful amongst young children, it is a highly damaging piece of media that fails to teach children valuable lessons. The show has numerous negative and damaging aspects, such as its damaging gender stereotypes, its excessive use of color and glitter, its unrealistic portrayal of friendship, and its overuse of violence and fantasy. By focusing on these problems and how they negatively affect children, this thesis will act as a warning to parents about this show and other similar ones that must be avoided. My Little Pony imposes a severely limiting gender stereotype on its audience and doesn't give them an impression of equality. This is made incredibly obvious by the division of the characters along gender lines, with all the male characters representing the male gender while the female characters represent the female gender, and the show doesn't teach the importance of gender equality. In addition to this, most of the characters have a 'girly' personality, which implies an idea of what young girls should aspire to. Moreover, boys are rarely depicted as playing with Pony toys or having an interest in the show, further suggesting that it is made exclusively for girls. Another negative aspect of My Little Pony is its excessive use of color and glitter. These bright, flashy characteristics make the show attractive to young children, but it also fails to provide realistic values for the target audience. For example, the ponies are depicted as being able to do anything with the help of a single, magical item like the rainbow scissors, which is an implication of wealth and materialism that does not offer anything beneficial to children. Furthermore, the glitter reinforces the gender stereotype by presenting a false idea of what makes a successful woman. My Little Pony's portrayal of friendship is also highly unrealistic. The show suggests that friendship is based solely on physical beauty and material gifts, which perpetuates the damaging notion that friendships should be based on the surface rather than the qualities of another person. In addition to this, it fails to explore deeper topics such as trust or understanding, leaving children without a realistic view of what friendship really is and how to develop it. Finally, the show's reliance on violence and fantasy is a major issue. This can desensitize children and make them believe that violence is an acceptable way to solve problems and that they can escape reality. This is extremely damaging, as it can lead to behavior issues and the inability to properly cope with real-world issues. In addition to this, the show promotes false ideas about the world, such as the existence of magic, which can be confusing and unrealistic for children. Ultimately, My Little Pony must be avoided due to its tendency to limit children's gender stereotypes, its unrealistic portrayals of friendship, its overuse of color and glitter, and its reliance on violence and fantasy. I absolutely love this game. Cranking 90's on kids is just TOO FUN! Although the only flaw with this game is that its too difficult to gather materials. In addition, it is very difficult to get touchdowns, especially if you only have half health. I do enjoy watching Ninja play this game though. Well, the cats finished, time to go eat. This game is disappointing and unsafe for your kids due to pop up ads and this is a total rip off and a giant mess it was addictive for a while but the company who made this was notorious for bad games. This game is more guilty than it looks. The meta critic and user score should be set to 0. Lots of these missions are hard to complete unless you have money on your credit card.I suggest you stay away from this game. Big Rigs over the road racing was better than this garbage. Thats all i have to say please heed my warning about this game.

This game is awesome! You should play it and will keep you going for years on end and i just had so much fun. The only downside is you level up slow sometimes and i am only level fourty four.

I'm not a brony, but my brother is. The game is decent, but there's WAYYY too many in-app purchases. Implementing features you have to pay for in a "free" game is an incredibly scummy thing to do.

I mean this certainly not as bad as Barbie and Her Sisters: Puppy Rescue so there's a plus. Haven't personally play it but I have seen gameplay from Toons Universe on YouTube and this is a bomb azz game. I believe this deserves a 10 out of 10 from IGN but I'll sleep at night knowing it's sitting at an 8.3. PS: GameGrumps is and forever will be the best!

This game is clearly amazing, the graphics rival Battlefield 3 and the gameplay is perfect. The plot is deep and epic, each scene is heart pumping and serious.

For one of these town builder games, I like it. It was very addictive for awhile! Sadly I haven`t played for awhile and my town is stuck with parasprites that I can never get rid of :/ But for an Iphone game (For me Iphone 5) it`s tonnes of fun. Get it! For that price it`s a steal!

Here is a game that is both unexpectedly good, yet at the same time, surprisingly disappointing. My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is a great social game with lots of fun activities to keep you playing for a good length of time and to be honest, prior to it's release, I was skeptical if the concept of MLP would work for a game but to my surprise, the developers managed to pull it off. The game promote a social aspect, as interacting and adding a large pool of friends is essential for the gameplay to fully be enjoyed but it is not without it's faults. The game has some critical synchronization issues that prevents some of your friends from showing up in your in-game friend list (despite it's supposed social feature) and a number of graphical/visual bugs will occur during your play time. The worst, and probably the primary reason why MLP game has negative feedback is due to the ridiculously expensive "real life" money purchases needed to unlock ponies and items needed to complete the story. The scarcity of in-game alternative to money purchases might be its most glaring fault. Overall though, I like My Little Pony - Friendship is magic, its a good game to pass the time when you have some to spare. It's not a game to be rushed and finished like your standard PC/Xbox/PS3 etc. games, so it shouldn't be criticized for being slow. I would recommend this game to your typical tablet or smart phone user and an average gamer in general but not to "completionist gamers".

Completely imbalanced, ridiculous paywalls and poor performance on iPhone 4 or lower kill this title for me and my wife. The game is designed to require paying real money for fake ponies, and I'm not talking about 2 and 3 dollars here and there. To unlock everything in the game you have to play for 14 years every day or spend over 350$. This is ridiculous and greedy, not to mention an unsustainable model for business. Games like this rise and fall quickly. Do not waste your time. The minigames are useless and far too few. Four in all, three of which stop occurring after leveling each pony, and all of which happen in under 20 seconds.
