Mega Man X Collection

The gameplay, while great, is not exciting by today’s standards and the graphics and sound, while fantastic fun, are not going to break any ground.

Unless you really, really like the franchise, this collection will do nothing whatsoever for you -- it's six largely identical games of varying quality. For those who can't get enough of that robo-rock/paper/scissors action, the exceptional quality of these ports (and the promise of a "new" spin-off) should be more than enough to offset the repetition.

While the "Mega Man Anniversary Collection" contained more meat, there's simply a ton of robots to blast, dozens of armor capsules to grab, and really no good reason not to let ol' Blue back in your life once again.

You have to be a huge Mega Man nut if you want to get these games--especially since many of them are newer than the games released in the original Mega Man collection, meaning that all-important element of nostalgia just isn't quite there.

With all honesty, this Collection (even without X7 and X8) makes the Legacy Collections cry. The emulation here is great, all games run perfect here, and they even included the PSX version of Mega Man X3! The Gallery is good, the extra game is unexpected and... kinda lame, Battle & Chase? The only issue I found is that Mega Man X6 doesn't have audio clips on the dialogues... Overall, this collection is a far superior way of playing these games than Legacy Collection.

Endless fun, but Gamecube version is better. However if you include the newest releases/gens, then get the pc versions.

This is a great collection of games. The X series of Mega Man games is my favorite out of the Mega Man franchise. The games are challenging, but fun to play. It's not my favorite video game series, but I do like coming back to these time to time.

Mega Man X 1 alone is good enough to sell this- everything about the game was fantastic, both brilliantly innovative and intuitive, while keeping everything that made Mega Man 2 so awesome years earlier.
