If you like Megaman, RPGs, Action, or Adventure games in the slightest, I highly recommend it.

There's a lot more gameplay in MMBN than in most GBA games combined. Strategy/RPG fans will surely love it, and I think most other gamers will, too.

Though its not the classic Mega Man we all know and love, it is a very good design with very little to dislike...other than the fact that this isn't a "true" Mega Man game.

Aquí tienes la traducción al inglés: Mega Man Battle Network TranslationMega Man Battle Network was a crazy experiment by Capcom that turned out better than it had any right to. Instead of relying on cheap nostalgia, they dared to reinvent MegaMan for a new generation: with chips, tactical battles, an anime aesthetic, and a clear message that "friendship can conquer all."And, to many people's surprise, it worked. Not only did it work, it launched one of the most beloved sagas on the GBA. Has it aged poorly in some areas? Yes. Are there later installments that surpass it in every way? Also yes. But this first Battle Network has that spark of the beginnings, that charm from when developers were still experimenting, unafraid to try something different. And for that reason, even with its flaws, it still deserves to be played **** you never touched it, give it a chance (especially with the Legacy Collection). And if you played it as a kid, get ready for a nostalgic trip full of viruses, digital sword slashes, and absurd emails. Because Battle Network wasn't just a game: it was that feeling that the future, chips, and digital friendship were the most epic things in the world. And deep down, they still are.

If you haven't played Battle Network, be it through the GBA, or the Battle Network Collection, you are doing yourself a disservice, especially if you love SRPG's. It might not be the best in the series, and dated by today's standards, but the variety in customization, top tier soundtrack, solid story, characters, and playability on the go makes Battle Network an iconic game and series.

Loved the concept and appreciate all it does to start the series, but a lot of lack of QOL, especially with escape mechanics

All in all, combat is very easy to learn, but difficult to master -- and yet very satisfying.

While the gameplay of Mega Man Battle Network is excellent, what fascinated me most was the world in which the game took place.

Although the game features a lot of action sequences, it’s really an RPG at heart. However, what makes this game unique is the battle system. It combines a turn based fighting system with a real time one. Did that make sense to anyone?

This radical departure adds a level of depth to the series as a whole - MM fans should pick it up out of loyalty - anyone who's not a hardcore fan should let this one settle back into the big blue.

As much as I like the action-oriented battle system, random enemy encounters are far too frequent. [Feb 2002, p.172]

Great! a fresh idea, and a well executed one. it's fun to play, the RPG elements are very nice, and while tough the plot is really nothing special, it does it's job pretty well. Music is also very good. Overall is very solid, play it.

Trashfire dungeon design and world navigation. Would rather castrate myself then play this game ever again.
