Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

I don’t give many games a score of ten. That is reserved for experiences that are so gripping and mechanics that change the landscape of a franchise. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope does just that. Every moment I wasn’t playing Sparks of Hope, I was thinking about it. And for a studio to take a proven formula, shake it up, and try something new is risky but rewarding. I can’t recommend this game enough.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is the perfect Switch exclusive. The game marvelously captures the playful spirit of the Mario universe, while offering some serious tactical strategy options for those looking for fix for their XCOM addiction. All aspects of the game have been improved over the predecessor, including visuals, combat mechanics, exploration, and soundtrack. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is double the fun, thrice the charm!

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is a great sequel, one of those that know how to expand a remarkable base to reach excellence. Accessible, but deep, and with a very accurate rhythm, the latest from Ubisoft Milan consolidates the Rabbids experiment in the Mushroom Kingdom, delivering a title that will please fans of the genre and will discover it to many others.

Top optics, the cutest animations that exist and largely well thought-out gameplay make the turn-based strategy game a treat - for young and old players alike.

At the end of the day, the entire concept of this game still feels incredibly strange and deeply unhinged. But maybe in a good way? It certainly brings a unique angle and some fresh mechanics to both Mario games and now to strategy games with the inclusion of these open world mechanics. I think it’ll struggle to find an audience with die hard fans from either side, but it will go down well with those looking to dip their toe into the strategy genre, or who are introducing their kids to those games for the first time. While at times it was frustrating, I had a lot of fun with it, and plan to spend some more time wandering around the overworlds finishing up those side quests even though the main story is done. To me, that’s the ultimate sign of a good game – even if it is a game that has me constantly questioning whether or not it’s trying to reference that cursed time we all used words like ‘smexy’ on the internet.

Though tedious puzzles and a slim margin for error weigh it down, there’s no denying that Ubisoft and Nintendo have created something magical for a second time.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hopes doesn't quite live up to the high expectations set by its predecessor but its turn-based combat advances in a modern and fitting way, with a terrific orchestral soundtrack and fun new addition in Sparks that fans of the first game will still enjoy. It's good but it could have been great.

It's a very good game but not perfect.i like it but it's short for my standard.good game play good sound,good graphics.

Mario Rabbids has an extremely fun battle dynamic, and if that were the main focus, I might give this game a 9. However, the open world becomes a major annoyance because it forces players to hunt for battles across confusing maps filled with boring, tedious puzzles. Many times, I found myself frustrated, eager for the next battle, only to be wandering around the map without a clear idea of when I'd reach the next challenge. This is the kind of game that would work much better with a level-based system or, at the very least, with more linear maps.

One of the better Tactical RPG's, but trys to focus on the story too much. With that being said the combat is great, the levels and envionmetns are fun to go through, and I'm so glad this game got as much attention and love as it did.

Everything that made the first game great is removed, like the diffrent weapons for each character and were replaced by diffrent skins. Yoshi and Rabbidyoshi were completly removed. The grids on the battlefield are completly gone and every rabbit received a voice?! Why? It was funny when the Rabbids only made the typical rabbid sounds from every single rabbid game! And why is there a level system? I dont get it. But still this is only my oppinion, If you like the game thats great but compared to the previous one it's bad in my eyes.

There are too many changes from the first titles that makes the game slower and boring to play. It disappointed me a lot, I was in love with the first title.
