They nailed down the Isometric camera controls with the first one. This one fully scrapped it and attempts a fully 3D world exploration. Well guess what, it's a bad implementation. I've barely managed to get to world 2 and I now get nausea and cold sweat from the camera. I have to ditch it at this point, money down the drainer. Regarding combat, there's QoL upgrades vs the 1st game, some downgrades as well though. Not a bad game, but the camera makes it unplayable for me

XCOM meets Mario and Rabbids, what's not to love. t's a good strategy game with beloved characters, finished it and overall enjoyed it. I have to say that it peaks around mid-game though, things are casual until then. After that it quickly gets over complicated and too hard which makes it a bit repetitive and much after a while. I can't think of it as a kids game for that reason. They broke the mold with the sequel (sparks of hope) unfortunately, so this is a great one off experience. It's on sale regularly for 6$ digitally, 9$ for the gold version (includes all DLCs). A MUST buy for that price

Biggest issue is that it doesn't run on PC/console engine, it's a beefed up mobile phone version. Switch 2 GPU can handle 60 fps with PC engine on normal gameplay, with some optimizations needed for other stuff (corners, half-time menu), but they got lazy. Graphics and controls could have been SOOO much better, it's a shame. Content is low, not much to do. Won't find online matches easily, not many in queue. On the positive side, it's not P2W like efootball is. One time buy, reasonable price for the lack of content. Gets updates, they added leagues now. Runs 60 fps most of the time. Be concerned about its future though. It's not a yearly release and doesn't have microtransactions. Which means when the sales hit a plateau, we don't know what's gonna happen to it. Still, with that price I don't worry too much. I love that it's not a P2W live service game like efootball, I support that. It has its issues though. If they had the PC engine and Master League, it would be a perfect 10. Worth a try for that price, just don't expect much content out of it
