A rich turn-based strategy experience that allows for deep customization, intense battles, and lots of replayability. Bear in mind that the learning curve is steep and the visual presentation is a bit underwhelming, by today's standards. Even so, fans can find lots of things to love in this indie title.

This variation of the classic board game Risk isn’t pretty, the UI is rough sometimes, but it has a very vivid community that gives you an enormous supply of maps where you can try to conquer almost everything from Middle Earth to Westeros.

The positive of this game is that it can be an interesting "Risk" styled battlefield. The negative is that the AI is astonishingly cheaty, if you are about to take an advantageous position, it will help itself to 100 6's in a row to kill your army, c.f. you attack 15: zero and lose all your army, it attacks 5:15 and wins with 4 pieces. By all means play it, but you may wish to follow my rule. 1 outrageous cheat and the AI is out. 3 serious cheats and the AI is out. Start again.

Lux Delux was a at one time a good alternative to risk. I have had it for a number of years. Now I am finally uninstalling it. The latest update is using the "loaded dice" type of AI. Example if i attack an enemy with 2 armies and I have 4,5 or 6 armies i will loose 80% of the time now. I was just playing and attacked an enemy with 9 armies to their 3 and lost all 9 armies with them loosing one. I then watched the enemy with 17 armies roll over my 10 armies while loosing 2. Stay away from this game now.

i downloaded it and i wasn't impress by the demo, but i loved ancient empires lux which was made by the same company, sillysoft. so i bought it and loved the online community. it was active and very fun. there was always at least 10 games on. roman II is my favorite. but the community was not going to make the game great. it ius fun but it isn't wowing. this is a smaller company so it is great for that drawback. i play it then stop and get addicted again. it is ok. buy it if you like a fun community and strategy.

SummaryLux Delux is a game of strategy and domination inspired by the board game Risk. Control your armies to conquer and hold strategic countries on the map. The object of the game is simple: Take over the entire world!
