The Looney Tunes universe is still amazing, with classic characters that haven't lost their charisma. However, the various poorly executed mechanics for sports, the overall refinement of the game, and a visual style that doesn't do justice to the universe presented deliver a mediocre experience.

Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports has some flourishes of fun, but the clunky movement and unresponsive controls let it down.

A multi-discipline sports title starring the Looney Tunes is a good idea... in theory. Unfortunately with only nine characters, four disciplines and two modes Wacky World of Sports translates it into a game poor in both content and depth

Looney Tunes Wacky World of Sports is, quite simply, an unfun game. It doesn't shine aesthetically, despite being based on the iconic cartoons, and the animations never manage to shake off a certain stiffness. The sports offered are characterized by a less than decisive register, which attempts to be simultaneously carefree and deeper than expected: it is never fully either of the two.

Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports won’t replace my daily Madden NFL or NBA2K sessions, but they were a nice distraction and offered enjoyable arcade vibes throwing it back to an era that focused on simpler gameplay and colorful aesthetics. While I appreciate the final product, it’s ultimately hampered by a lack of variety, so if the developers follow this up, I’d love to see an expanded version.

Made up of four sports — soccer, basketball, tennis and golf — Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports should be an entertaining outing for up to four local players. Unfortunately, it's not: none of the games are enjoyable to play in the slightest, and not even the familiar cast of Looney Tunes characters is enough to save it.

Unfortunately, the slow, cumbersome movement undoes the otherwise likeable presentation. We’re glad this era of licensed games is slowly making a comeback, we just wished this was a little bit more fun to play.

Between Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports and Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game, Bugs Bunny and friends sure haven't been treated well in recent years when it comes to video games. Here's hoping we get a remake of Time Busters; that was a fun game.

Look, the sports themselves work, but there’s not much fun to be found despite the loveable cast of characters that are present.
