There is a lot to unpack in Infinite Wealth if you played any of the previous games. And even if you don't, it's still worth your time, even for a chance to have this crazy and wacky Hawaiian vacation.

Infinite Wealth is a kaleidoscopic parade of everything that made original Like a Dragon great. Except there’s more of everything, and everything is more interesting than before. [Issue#263, p.66]
Bigger, better and deeper than Like a Dragon, Infinite Wealth is the most addicting game that you are going to play this year if you love JRPG, and an emotive homage to RGG's long lasting Yakuza saga. [Recommended]

SPOILERS. THE ONLY HONEST REVIEW ON THIS GAME. DONT LISTEN TO THE REST THEY DONT HAVE A CLUE. As a huge fan of this franchise this was the ONLY one that let me down this much. Huge downgrade from Yakuza 7/LAD in gameplay, story, difficulty and characters. Ichiban is just made to look like an idiot at the last scene of the game, ruining his obvious potential relationship with Saeko. Bryce and the boring cult is the worst main antagonist in the series and the party characters (one which includes a V tuber just to make it worse) are really bad. And the lack of difficulty spike made the battles pointless as it was never a problem to squash enemies and bosses. Really bad levelling pacing. How this is a sequel to the goated 7 is something I'll never understand I'm not even gonna go into the stupid Kiryu got cancer angle either, what a waste of everyone's time. If this was the last Ichiban game then I wouldn't be suprised, was just boring and easy.

I really wanted to love this game since I'm a big Yakuza fan, but despite my best efforts to just try and enjoy it, this game continuosly wastes my time with entire 2-3 hours chapters where there's nothing really going on. The story would have been so cool if they just cut it down to just 6-7 chapters and threw away all the useless parts. Gameplay wise it's fine I guess, but I'm not particularly fond of this new rpg style for the yakuza series either, gets boring pretty quickly when you can't take a step in the city without being harrased by some random thugs (in older yakuza games it was much more bearable since you could just punch them a few times instead of having to wait your turn). Overall the game is ok but far from the golden age of yakuza imo

Absolutely do not understand the glowing reviews from everywhere. Graphics are basic af, like it was created in the early 2000s. When people say it's good graphics, it's good graphics for a YAKUZA game, not good graphics for 2026. And tons of weird conversations and moments between the characters. The dialogue window that pops up at the bottom feels like it's Pokemon all over again. Completely archaic. Japanese games sure have not evolved over the years. Cutscenes. Omg. I think i was just watching the cutscenes 80% of the time for many many hours over actually playing. Did i buy a movie or a game? If the movie was good at least it's ok, but it's cringey af in so many ways and feels like a movie I can't leave. So unnecessarily drawn out every one of them. Voiceovers are also so awkwardly American despite it being a Japanese game through & through. Script is also so bad. It seems like it can't decide between wanting to be serious or funny or lame. Conversations are so mind bogglingly lame. And what's with all the guttural sounds. The whole game's in excess of them. The developers of this game also seem to have a personal vendetta against pickup artists making them all look like gangsters and losers. Pathetic. And every few metres of walking there are gangsters or ruffians looking to fight u. Wow it becomes really **** irritating after awhile. And it's always the same type of fights over & over again with the same audio. So so repetitive and boring. How good looking every character is is so so cringey as well. And was it Hawaii or Japan? So many characters are Japanese despite it being in Hawaii. Such a joke. And suddenly being transported to an island where u have to collect trash & not able to return to Hawaii if u wanted? That was where i stopped playing.I came to this after completing Ghost of Tsushima, paid slightly more for this game even, but I'm completely astounded as to why people even think it's good. Have they not played games like Ghost of Tsushima? Crazy wayyy better graphics + open world. Like a dragon feels like it's worth only $10 to pay for in comparison to games like that. Basic game development, clearly low budget. Yet selling for same original price as Ghost of Tsushima and the like. I really pity all the monkeys out there who just because others say it's good, that they also say or think it's good. Or, it could be diehard fans of this series. As an outside observer who has played a ton of actually really good immersive games, this is definitely not in the same category. The amount of dopamine i got playing this game is the same as if I were to do work on my laptop. Complete baseline. They say the game gets better after the cut scenes slow down. Nahh. It stays the same. Equally **** game tries really hard to be a Japanese GTA, but fails terribly at itI rate this game 3 out of 10. Complete waste of money this. Completely not a modern AAA game. I really pity the people who actually think this is good. Probably super new to the world of games or don't know what makes a game good. How many good reviews this has gotten online makes me wonder how much the developers of this game paid off all the reviewers

After risking everything and switching to turn-based combat with a new protagonist, the Like a Dragon series returns with a more impressive scale, with phenomenal and in-depth optional activities that benefit from the humor and irreverence that makes its essence so exciting.

Awesome game. An insanely cool (and ridiculous) story, excellent gameplay, and more off the wall side quests than you can shake a tennis-racket at!

PEAK! It's emotional storytelling and the bond between Ichiban and Kiryu; everything hits harder than ever. The combat system is the best turn-based evolution yet, compared to Yakuza: Like A Dragon, as SnowiestAngeman said, it looks like a couple of college students made the combat of LAD 7; it's that bad. The story is what I would call a masterclass. The only thing that I feel bad for a 70$ game. NEW GAME PLUS is not included. That's bad, but they learned from this since Pirate Yakuza has New Game Plus included for free as intended. And please DON'T SKIP ANY YAKUZA/LIKE A DRAGON GAME. You won't get what Kiryu has gone through if you, for some reason, play YLAD as your first game

Bottomline, Ryu ga Gotoku Studios has another huge hit on their hands with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Rich, complicated stories and characters, with intriguing developments for individuals as well as bonds between characters greatly adds to the mystic, while a slew of mostly-optional side gigs further compliments the outstanding team-based combat. For many of us, the Yakuza/LAD series has become as comforting as a warm chicken pot pie on a cold day. I have spent more hours roaming the streets of Japan (and now Hawaii) in this franchise than perhaps any other game world ever. These games are familiar, enjoyable, and even though the gameplay does not vary much from one adventure to the next, the quality, accessibility, pacing, quantity, and fun of playing these games continues to pay dividends. At the end of the day, whether you’re a series veteran or a curious newcomer, you cannot go wrong with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

I can’t exactly sell Infinite Wealth as an easily accessible JRPG for anyone to enjoy. It’s a dense game with at least a 100-hour adventure for players to undertake. However, if you’re willing to brave the time commitment, there’s an amazing story here that feels like the most fitting wrap-up for anyone who has loved Kazuma Kiryu throughout the series. I don’t know where a possible ninth game might take the series, but getting here has been an incredible experience.

Fantastic characters, impeccable combat, and a fresh setting lift up a game that can otherwise feel stuck in the past. We’re beyond ready for more Kasuga. [Issue#36, p.72]

Despite an exciting story, the second Ichiban outing suffers from somewhat lengthy grind and filler passages that artificially stretch out the playing time.

One of the greatest games ever released in my opinion. The turn-based combat system has improved, and the enhanced attacks with animations have also gotten better. The way new characters are introduced and developed is very well done like Chitose. The entire story is truly magnificent . And we can't forget one of the game's scenes that reminded us of Yakuza Kiwami 1. Overall, I truly believe it deserved to compete for Game of the Year, but it was clearly overlooked and unfairly treated. I hope they release games for side characters who truly deserve recognition, like Shun Akiyama, Daigo Dojima, and maybe even Akira Nishikiyama.

Todos los juegos de Sega tiene un montón de DLCs, pero la mayoría no son muy relevantes, pero está vez lo ha superado, vender el new Game plus es lo más asqueroso desde los personajes ya en disco de Marvel VS Capcom.

This game looses almost all of what made the other games cool and **** one the mini games and side stories and an assaults. I spent more time listening to dislougue ( reading fialouge) and having complex mini games forced on me than exploring or leveling the first 30 hours. Then there is the subtle esg western cancer seeping in..even the voice acting is more cringe **** game is to ridiculas, by hour 20 I was skipping dialouge fast as a could click the button.. Also Hawaii feels more like Chicago with the excsesive forcing diversity.. All the heart and charm of the first game has been replaced with over the top wakky japanesey cringe.. Worst part is what they did to Kiryu , not only is his dialouge to over the top and just bad, but they got the you tuber Yong yea to do his voice. Not only is his acting terible, but it just sounds like his videos, so every time Kiryu speaks you hear a tiny soylent drinking korrean guy, not the most badarse japanese character in 20 years.. This game feels like the worst part of western games is getting in. I feel like Sega forced wester devs to help make this game, its just not the Yakuza ive loved for decades.

At first glance the game reveals itself to us as something new, the beginning of the game doesn't give us any reason at all to doubt that this will be a great sequel to the seventh installment. But what the writers of this game did after the 8th chapter leaves it no chance. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a ragged, completely inconsequential, crumpled piece of work that lost a lot of things that this series was loved for. Play through the game to the END and you'll realize just how bad it is. Lack of adequate motivation for the villains, battles with fantasy bosses, and a protagonist who behaves inappropriately for his original character. The ending of this game is a complete disappointment for all fans of the series, which has been turned into a slop-fan service game.Translated with **** (free version)
