Great style and story – with a great atmosphere throughout the game. Love the humor as well. The engine can use some work since loading times are sometimes quite long and there are hiccups when transitioning between areas. But this definitely doesn't spoil the great fun to be had with this game.

This game is something truly special! The writing, the art style, and the game design are all superb. At it's best it feels like playing a Disney/Pixar movie. This is definitely the type of game to enjoy with friends or family, brainstorming over the puzzles and laughing a the humor. My girlfriend and I have had a blast playing it together. The puzzles are just tough enough. And I can't say enough positive things about the art style, animation, and humour. The gameplay is varied. Adventure game players will get what they want, with a few more modern and very creative elements added that will appeal to anyone. Also- Christopher Lloyd (Doc from Back to the Future) as the narrator and Wallace Shawn (Vizzini from Princess Bride) as a main character. Does it get any better than that? And talk about good value - only $40 (US/CAN) 5 episodes + epilogue. That's only $8 a game and the first episode is a quality 8 hours. I (obviously!) love this game and hope that it succeed. The developers have put a lot of passion into crafting something truly creative and original and hope they are rewarded for it. We need more games like this!!!

I could go on and on about how much I love Kings Quest, so I will. King’s Quest is the surprise hit of 2015 so far. Chapter one is filled with so many exciting moments, fun puzzles, hilarious characters, and a unique sense of awe and fantasy. I felt like I was in a wonderfully animated cartoon based on a classic series and I couldn’t stop smiling or laughing the entire time.

This romp through King Graham's past is a fun change of pace from the Bloodbornes and Witchers we've all been immersed in as of late. The game is gorgeous and features a fun sense of humor. There is a decent mix of puzzle solving, arcade-game antics reminiscent of Dragon's Lair, and some Tell Tale-style quick scenes. I appreciated the choices the game presented, especially at the end. As King Graham says, "There's nothing wrong with cheating a cheater!" If you're familiar with Sierra's past games, this is a great trip back in time with all the beauty of today's graphics. I would've given the game a 10, but the stalling in animation and skipping with Graham walking was a problem. Also, The Odd Gentlemen might consider a mini-map-fast travel solution to remedy having to tolerate Graham's gait when the player really has a new idea to try across the chapter's world.

Halfway between old and new, this first episode of King's Quest is a good start for a series that seemed to have been forgotten.

Though not as brutally challenging as its forbears, the first chapter of The odd Gentleman’s King’s Quest is a delightfully charming, funny and beautiful game that any fan of old adventure games will love.

Not only does it respect the huge legacy but it also brings the franchise to the present day. It offers a lot of content and, while it's generally enjoyable, there are some sequences that might leave players frustrated.

Despite plenty of issues, A Knight to Remember isn't a terrible start to the adventure, just a rather unnecessarily tedious one. If The Odd Gentlemen can increase the overall game speed and introduce some smarter puzzles, future chapters could indeed be a lot of fun.
