Iridion 3D is a game that I remember fondly from my childhood, the music, the 3d graphics, and the overall concept of a bullet hell on rails flight game shoved into a GBA cartridge blew my mind as a child. Upon revisiting it via Delta Emulator, I am still incredibly impressed, even if I may be looking at the game through nostalgia goggles. I think having some sort of charge shot or lock on ability would have made this game a 10/10 but as it stands it’s almost perfect in my opinion.

If you're looking for a GBA game to show off the system's graphical capabilities, you can't do much better than Iridion 3D. You just may not want to play the actual game.

One of the more graphically impressive GBA launch titles. From the 3D menus to the in-game 3D environments, Iridion does drop jaws with its impressive graphics. Unfortunately, the rest of the game takes away from this sense of euphoria.

Not only was I throughly dissappointed by Iridion, but I was downright frustrated.

The game is made artificially difficult and despite how short the levels are (looping enemies nonetheless) you may never see the ending simply because the gameplay is that dull.
