Inked: A Tale of Love is an excellent adventure game. The compelling story and the concept behind it should appeal to most adventure game fans, and especially to lovers of physics-based puzzles.

Inked: A Tale of Love is a small and intense love story that will lead you to discover what you are willing to do in the name of this noble feeling.

Visually and audibly gorgeous, Inked battles to maintain its level of quality through an awkward camera, occasional obtuse puzzles and fumbled story.
5
Inked is one of those 'artistic' indie games which tend to put their main focus on presentation and the inner journey rather than gameplay. Because as a puzzler this game is honestly nothing special. And sometimes the art style can get in the way of clarity. Honestly this could work much better as a short mobile game. I expect more from an indie title. The story is the only element that is keeping this thing together, unfortunately it didn't kept me engaged enough to finish it. People who like games with a strong artistic vision might be compelled to play this through the end though.

Interesting mechanics, a good idea of story, relatively good general style. In some places, the control is crooked due to which it is impossible to do one or another action, but rarely. The main minus for me is the main character: I hate people with such character.

When i first saw the trailer a few month ago i realized that its a unique puzzle game, after i played it I still have the same opinion. A different puzzle game with a absorbing story and nice music. The graphic is minimal but very professional and flawless. The controls are simple and gentle, but the puzzles and the whole game rhythm could be more various. Its a good game which can keep you awake whole night.

Inked is a fantastic game, one of those games that only come out every now and then and really touch you deep. From the amazing visuals to the compelling story, the superb music and challenging puzzles, is a unique experience that no other game can provide and you will have a lot of fun playing this game.

A simple story about love, sacrifice and loss that plays out on sheets of paper, where you can draw different three-dimensional figures and play with elements (e.g. start a fire or creating a wind gust) to solve puzzles, often based on physics. The puzzles are usually easy, but well-designed and the game as a whole is a sight to behold. [07/2018, p.72]

Inked offers up a selection of well constructed logic puzzles set alongside a well made, though potentially familiar feeling plot.

The value of Inked lies above all in the ability to stage a small story of love and suffering through a very personal style and excellent visual impact.

There is a lot of potential here for a great idea and certain moments are truly awesome, but the whole experience just doesn’t hold up and ends on a low point. If you have a stronger stomach for finicky controls, though, Inked might just be the game for you.

After a while, the small things kept adding up and made this potentially great game less and less enjoyable. There will be players who can overlook the issues and complete Inked, but I’m not one of them.
