Let me start this review by saying that this game is unbelievably hard. I've played through 2 years in my main free play save, I've released 41 singles (yes I counted) and currently have 3 shows ongoing, all of which make a profit, and I still don't make enough money in a week to even cover rent. My business staying open is entirely reliant on loans from Fujimoto. If you're into difficult management sims, this is for you. If you like relaxing experiences and don't enjoy being stressed about money, maybe give this one a miss. Other than the difficulty, this game is really cute. I have played it for 20 hours over the past 3 days or so, and I still feel like pulling an all-nighter to play more. It's super addicting. I love growing my idol business and seeing which girls are successful and which are not. The election feature is my personal favourite, and I do enjoy concerts quite a bit. If you can get past the difficulty, or are happy to just play on easy mode where money and debt don't matter, then I totally recommend this game! It's a shame it doesn't have more fans, it's adorable and so fun.

The game is kinda fun and offers a lot of options to manage your Idols and make them as efficient as possible. Every idol has unique features and different stats like in a RPG so you must take everything into account when recruiting or training them. You can choose what kind of concept and music they will perform, which titles they will do during concerts, and so on. You are competing against other Idol companies which is kinda challenging, in a good way. Unfortunately there seems to be no negative effect of giving a low wage to my idols, which is easy to abuse and that can be game breaking.

Isn't a 9 a bit too much for a management game based on idols? Probably, but it's the first time a game like this has make me stay in my seat for 5 hours thinking on what should I do to improve the agency. The fact that the game made me feel interested in the main story and the little sub plots is something I also appreciate from the game. There's also a rivalry with another CEO and different things I never thought an idol agency would have. Great game, pls give it a try

The game is extremely challenging for a management game. One of the other better management games out there.

After Idol manager, I realized how exciting a musical band production might be.

Un excellent jeu de gestion dans son principe et sa thématique (mais utilisez le workshop pour donner de la variété visuelle). Le scénario du jeu est pas mal du tout (et il y a un mode "sandbox" aussi), il m'a fallu 34h (en trainant) pour le finir. Je le conseille en tant que jeu de gestion, mais à ceux qui aiment ça. Par contre, une fois qu'on entre dedans, on voit ses défauts, et surtout, les bugs. Partout, tout le temps. J'ai fait ma partie en v1.0.3 et j'ai eu l'impression de faire la chasse aux bugs (j'en ai reporté 20... mais je n'ai pas voulu forcer non plus, j'ai juste reporté ce qui sautait aux yeux!). Pas agréable de voir que certaines choses ne fonctionnent pas en jeu. Par exemple, un couple d'idoles rompt? chacune est censée perdre 30 de santé mentale... ben non, ça n'a aucun effet, et donc ça casse le principe en jeu. Ensuite, il faut partir de l'acceptation que le studio derrière le jeu est indépendant et petit. Donc il y a "peu" de variété visuelle (merci le workshop), et une répétition dans les offres (pas de workshop car codé en dur dans le jeu il semble). Le gros problème est qu'une fois qu'on est dans le jeu, on voit tout ce qu'il aurait pu avoir et être pour être mieux, et qu'il n'a pas ni n'est car sans doute son budget le restreignait. J'espère que certaines choses seront patchées, que d'autres seront ajoutées, et surtout que les moddeurs apporteront encore plus de variété visuelle (et on ne parle pas d'images nsfw, mais simplement de variété sfw pour les idoles...). Si le jeu permettait de nouveaux modes de cd, de plus grands concerts, etc. il serait parfait. Peut-être pour un "idol manager 2", ou un concurrent. En tout cas, je le recommande mais uniquement à ceux qui aiment la thématique. Si vous aimez juste les jeux de gestion, je pense que d'autres existent qui vous plairont plus.
