A really fun and rewarding physics-based puzzle game that otherwise outstays its welcome by level 2, despite being only a few hours long, anyway. Games with a learning curve aren't a bad thing, but having the player's own limbs (and cranes by extension) actively counter inputs of their own will is a constant exercise in frustration. Something as simple as trying to move through a narrow corridor often turns into a somersault exposition, and then your legs jamming in a tight space- or alternatively, being in a corridor so large that you constantly end up drifting out of control until you slowly reach something to start moving again. This is mostly mitigated by the games' two lower control methods (which serve as difficulty settings), but the game is so devoid of additional tasks, side games or quirky tools to mess around with (especially for one that offers co-op), that you're only left with the realistic physics difficulty to get any real meat or replayability out of the game beyond the base objectives, and the game is lacking a fundamental control point to avoid the constant plight of physics-based games at their truly worst; a genre of which I found this to be simultaneously one of the best and worst of. Physics-based gameplay and Zero Gravity just do not mix when it's applied as coarsely as this. Real Astronauts would have a hard time trying to pull a lot of this game's nonsense off. For a game so short, they either should have added more content, or ironed out the physics. I still recommend it for people who like Physics games- I enjoyed it more than I did suffer it, but be warned that Newtonian mode will have you pulling your hair out in a few places, and chances are it won't even be your fault. Playing it in co-op (local only), is a mixed bag.

I’ll caveat this review by first saying that I’ve only played this game single player (co-op is offline only, so I don’t have the opportunity to try it), by my experience was just one of pretty much pure frustration. Yes, the game is designed for navigation to be awkward as you guide your spaceman around in zero gravity, but it’s just not very much fun and it all becomes very tedious pretty quickly.

It's pretty fun but way too difficult. The game asks you to use mostly 2 primitive movement (left arm and right arm) to move around in space stations with no gravity. I guess real astronaut may be more intuitive

A game that does what it sets out to do perfectly - a hardcore traversal challenge with immersive and engaging mechanics, wrapped up in a gorgeous vibey atmosphere with great ambient music. At its best, it produces a hugely enjoyable flow state of satisfying and organic micro-decisions with a starry background. But the traversal challenge needs to be what you’re here for, or else frustration will take over. Nearly all negative feedback has been from players and critics who badly missed the point and interpreted the challenge, and their disinclination to engage with it, as an actual flaw. The game can be punishing, but that’s exactly what creates the gameplay friction that makes it engaging. If you do in fact enjoy this challenge, this is a supremely replayable and addictive game. No mission goes the same way twice and you can always strive for more elegant and efficient movement - every glide, toss, grab, and push takes consideration, and the satisfaction of mastery is stronger here than in most games I can think of. This all concerns single player - the couch co-op is totally different and just as brilliant. You can cooperate at a high level, flying spacecraft and working heavy machinery together in a smooth operation, or you can blow each other out of airlocks. It offers real camaraderie and high comedy alike. Try this game.

It's very fun (specially with friends) and a very beautiful graphics and music, with realistic physics! Definitely a very relaxing game! The only problem is that it is a VERY difficult game and stressful and sometime the levels are a little boring.

This game is lost in space. Prepare to get frustrated because of weird physics. Also no online Coop? Have to rely on shareplay? That purely ****. Sometimes you laugh and thats worth 2 stars. Most of the time you just wish you were playing something else.

I understand what they tried, but it's frustrating and clucky, even after practicing for a couple hours. It becomes increasingly tedious and painful to play.

Excellent at being frustrating. Short, but very engaging and every mission is unique.

I'm surprised this one doesn't have more attention on it. It's a great little game that is limited in scope, but does what it does very well. It can be frustrating at times but not unfairly so, and definitely provides some good challenges. As well as the challenge the core gameplay is just fun, floating through space with only your arms to control yourself. I'd definitely recommend this game to anyone who just wants a nice short, fun gameplay experience.

At one point, I clipped a firework to my girlfriend's spacesuit and lit the fuse, sending her hurtling ass-first into space. In summary, it's an extremely fun game.
