I played at GOW Ragnarok before this one, this may not be the best idea in terms of chronology and logic to understand the story. However, this game is very good especially in its story, it's just I preferred the gameplay of the second one which is an improvement of this game.

That was amazing. If this were a movie, it would easily score at least a 9 on IMDb. The story was outstanding, the combat mechanics were incredibly satisfying, and the animation was absolutely gorgeous. My only criticism is that some of the climbing parts and fast-travel door animations felt a bit too long.(that is not a problem) Other than that, even with the limited variety of weapons, the game delivers a satisfying and engaging experience from beginning to end. Boss fights were great as well, but they didn't have the same sense of epicness as the Elden Beast fight in Elden Ring. I'd say they captured about 7 out of 10 of the epic feeling they were aiming for.Maybe I'll experience something even more epic in Ragnarök.(thats my own review :D)

I have beaten the game 6 times, as the journey Kratos and his son Atreus have in the Norse mythology, away from the Greek one, I was set off at first, until I gave it a try. The soundtrack, the graphics, I loved it, it was my first console game I've ever played when he bought us the PS4, this resonated with me.

Beautiful game but boring gameplay with an ok story. The entire world of this game is a narrow strip of fighting the same monsters on repeat. Even in this narrow strip, you can't climb much of anything, can't jump into water, can't even jump period unless the screen tells you to at a dedicated jump area. The best part of this game is the kid's dialogue. Not only helpful but realistic and funny at times.

A Masterpiece, gameplay is rich and funny, the story is amazing, you feel the link with all the charachters, also the secondary charachter are structured enough to feel their role in the story. Emotional and fascinating

Amazing Story that works for both new and returning fans. Only blemishes are it's somewhat repetitive combat, and it's severe lack of enemy variety.

God of War (2018) proves that the franchise only benefited from changing its world, tone, and overall direction. The shift was a bold move, but it paid off in every way. game tells a compelling story about a father and his son, making the journey feel more personal and emotional than previous entries. The combat system was enjoyable and satisfying, while the graphics were beautiful and the atmosphere felt almost fairy-tale-like at times. The cinematic presentation fits the franchise perfectly, helping every moment feel important and memorable. Overall, God of War (2018) successfully reinvented the series while preserving what made it great in the first place.

Looks beautiful, controls great and the story keeps it interesting. For me, it falls short with the combat feeling repetitive after a while, and the camera just feels awkward being placed like a third person shooter close behind Kratos when it's melee combat.

I only just got around to playing this masterpiece, and I regret not playing it sooner. God of War is where Santa Monica Studio did an incredible job rehabilitating Kratos as a character in the world of video games, with a fantastic and modernized gameplay compared to the titles set in Greece. The graphics are stunning, and of course the story and its characters are amazing as well.I believe God of War belongs to that category of games that every human being should play at least once in their lifetime. A masterpiece.

Astonishing as the magical oner, the intriguing gameplay, the ravishing worldbuilding, and the appropriate map guidance are, I have no reason to call it the best game of the year that even overshadows REd Dead Redemption. It's just a very good game, not a masterpiece

Oh my god, it was PEAK. This game is tells the story of Kratos's new times. And it is a good choice. The weapon choice is good. The Leviathan Axe is smooth, it feels good in the hand. Atreus is a good helper character. He adds depth to the game and improves gameplay.

I've played the game on my PlayStation 5 Pro for approximately 15 hours and am now in the final third. I feel confident that I can offer a genuinely useful impression.First and foremost, I really like the new direction the game has taken. For comparison, I picked up Part 3 again, and while the presentation and gameplay are well done, it lacks depth. The coming-of-age story suits the title very well, and the entire cast of protagonists is interesting and nicely crafted. They've managed to squeeze a surprising amount out of what is ultimately a simple hack-and-slash revenge narrative even if it does remain relatively straightforward. The world is visually stunning even today, offering a great mix of mysterious fantasy setting and grounded, realistic environments. The sound design is important, and here the audiovisual experience fully delivers. In these respects, the game feels genuinely high quality. That said, there are clear points of criticism. The worldbuilding appears semi-open at first glance and suggests freedom, the hub implies a level-selection structure, but the actual progression is very linear. This ends up feeling somewhat chaotic overall, because you never quite know where you actually stand. The side quests are decent at best and fail to motivate much, partly due to often uninteresting loot. You're occasionally led to interesting locations, so it doesn't feel like a complete waste of time. The combat system is fine but would benefit greatly from a better camera perspective. Even after many hours of play, I still occasionally get confused by the overloaded controls and find myself searching for the right buttons. There are also disappointingly few different finishers for a God of War game in particular, more creativity would have been expected. The biggest weakness for me, however, is the enemy variety. The mini-bosses in particular are the same trolls recycled with different skins, which genuinely breaks immersion somewhat. Finally, it's worth noting that a very large portion of this game consists of environmental puzzles in the vein of Tomb Raider though these are rather undercomplicated. The challenge lies almost entirely in getting an overview of the fairly large areas. Orientation is essentially the solution to every puzzle. The RPG mechanics feel largely inconsequential to me. I don't get the impression they matter much. There are some cool special attacks that can be equipped individually, which allows for variation and encourages a personal playstyle. However, upgrading individual weapons at the blacksmith feels pointless, numerical stat values for weapon attributes have no business being in a God of War game.Overall though, I genuinely enjoy it. The story is cool, the presentation lands, and the combat is fun. The obvious shortcomings are noticeable but don't break immersion. I am fairly certain, however, that the mix of combat and puzzles won't appeal to everyone. The game has some notably quiet passages, something the series wasn't previously known for, which may disappoint long-time fans.

A direção é outro ponto absurdo. Nota: 9/10

Man, this game is something special. The world-building—this ancient Norse, Valhalla-style folklore—is absolutely amazing. The way they built this version of Midgard felt so grand and grounded at the same time. Some of the encounters literally gave me chills. I’m not even kidding, seeing Jörmungandr, the giant World Serpent, for the first time actually scared me. He’s so massive it’s intimidating, but he’s one of the most unique things I've ever seen in a game. But the real heart of the game isn't the gods; it's the story between Kratos and his son, Atreus. Watching a father struggle to raise his kid alone after the mother passes away felt so believable and human, even if one of them is a literal God of War. Their journey together, trying to figure each other out while surviving this dangerous world, was incredibly touching. The controls are super tight, and the world looks stunning. It’s a rare experience that manages to be a high-octane action game while still telling a deep, emotional story about family. If you haven't played this yet, you're missing out on a masterpiece.
