The Gear.Club is as an excellent mobile racing game, as a the Gear.Club Unlimited is a bad console port. The pros that work great in the free-to-play mobile model are not enough for the console audience. The game suffers from repulsive visuals, a poor car selection, bugs, but above all an unsatisfactory driving model. If you don´t need to play some racing game right now, just wait for another one. Otherwise, Gear.Club Unlimited will not offer you much, only little entertainment, if you are indulgent.

Gear Club Unlimited tries to be the race game the Nintendo Switch needs and deserves, but fails. The racing aspect is good for on the go gaming, but the brakes don't really work and if you've seen three or four environments, you've seen them all.
Gear Clubs free-to-play past is not what it used to be. The cars are easy to control and there is a lot to do, but in the end this racegame feels cheap.

I played Gear Club 2 before, so i didn't expect much for this game which was for 1 Dollar on sale. But as a surprise I really liked this game. The tracks are more varied as in Gear Club 2 and i enjoyed to build my garage. Of course its not a perfect game, it has its very special controls which are grounded on perfect line driving. Framerate was mostly ok, just sometimes it drops but as you can rewind its not a big issue

This is a great racing game and amazing value for money when it is on special at under $5! There are LOTS of cars and tracks to unlock and lots of things to upgrade and customise. Most importantly though, the game PLAYS really well, and the different classes of car also feel quite different to drive, which is a good thing. The graphics are really nice and it is all presented very professionally. The course designs are interesting, challenging and varied and you will need to master drifting and using your brakes effectively in order to progress in this game. The main drawbacks are input lag on the menu and customisation screens and long loading times of 30-40 seconds between races. All in all though, this is a really good package and certainly well worth snapping up when you see it on sale!

An absolute pleasure to play. Graphics are a little low, but that is fine. Would recommend.

The Nintendo Switch doesn’t allow for too many racing games to shine with the well-regarded Mario Kart 8 Deluxe hogging the spotlight. But Gear.Club Unlimited is stealing the limelight this holiday season with its racing sim action, RPG-lite upgrade system and beautifully rendered licensed cars. Although it’s not a true racing sim, this is still the best racing game available on the Nintendo Switch to date.

Gear.Club Unlimited is never going to cut it if you’re in the market for a portable Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo, but if treated like an arcade racer which you can pick up and put down liberally, you’ll absolutely find some lasting enjoyment with Eden’s racer. With lots of variety on tracks, championships, cars and upgrades, the value of the overall package becomes more desirable every time you boot it up.

Perfect gameplay, awesome cars (really nice mix, even americans, ohh yes!), soooo many races, cool level-system, nice local-play features........Cool leaderboard feature which makes you wanna compete. The graphics aren't the best (lacking details, fx dust and more smoke) - BUT it doesn't mean it's a bad racing game, cause it got the good elements for a "arcade" racing game. Now a days all racing games are too realistic.....I just need gasoline peps......full speed, more horsepower, best time ect. ....... The game brings back memories from the 90s SEGA Rally...... I like **** runs smooth on the go!

Gear.Club Unlimited is a fun but flawed racer. If you put in the effort to get to grips with its unique handling model you’ll find a game that you can really sink your teeth into, and it’ll reward you with plenty of licensed cars and a ton of events to complete. Go in expecting something that handles like Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport, however, and you’ll be very disappointed.

Ultimately, Gear.Club Unlimited may have been better served doubling down on either the arcade or the simulation aspects of driving, not both. In attempting to do both, Gear.Club Unlimited stretches too thinly in trying to cater to both crowds, creating a merely serviceable package filled with content brought down by unsatisfying driving.

Gear.Club Unlimited is a fun but flawed experience. It's disappointing that races come in such a short-burst form, lasting for only one or two laps, and around two minutes at most. While this does make it an excellent candidate to fire up whilst on the bus or on-the-go, when playing in TV mode, this structure means that the fun can be altogether too fleeting. Graphically, it's quite pleasing in handheld mode, but it doesn't exactly look fantastic when docked, where the textures look much muddier and less impressive. The career mode certainly offers a lot of variety and depth - even including an online league - and there is also a four-player multiplayer, which provides plenty of entertainment and performs admirably. However, the actual driving experience, in too many ways, seems quite wide of the mark. As a mobile experience, it's okay, but this is not the Switch's answer to Forza and Gran Turismo.

Gear.Club Unlimited is not a very good game. It’s not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, but not even it’s impressive car visuals can save it from being just an incredibly average racing game.

Gear.Club Unlimited is just a bad port of an otherwise successful mobile racing game. Even if the content is generous, the game is expensive, the gameplay is a joke, the AI is crap and the graphics are ugly. Don't bother with this one if you really like cars and racing games.

Racing is simple and fun once you get used to the controls. Menus kinda lag and you have to press buttons more times but during the races, there are minimum problems. There's a lot of upgrades you can get for your cars if you are into that sort of thing. You can choose color, some basic cosmetic upgrades and tune your car. You can also plan out your performance shop/garage and place furniture in it. That was pretty interesting. There's also local multiplayer up to 4 players and online time attack events. TL;DR: Okay racing game if you can get it for 5 USD or less. (I got it on sale).

I bought this for less than £5 so can't really argue with the price but I played about 15 minutes and deleted the game. The handling is really appalling, it's overly sensitive on a pro controller and it cannot be changed in the settings so I couldn't go on. The visuals and sound seemed ok but I couldn't get past the terrible handling.

I played this game for a week, on the switch, but it wasn't a nice experience, I just played it because I felt bad spending 40€ and never use it, the biggest problem of this game is hat on the switch it has half a second of input lag, especially when it's in doc mode. This makes the game so annoying to play, furthermore, the races are really short and the playtime is 50% loading time. Unacceptable for a 40€ game... if I would have been able to ask for a refund I would have done it for sure.

SummaryGear.Club is more than a quick adrenaline rush; it is an authentic world of cars. Realistic driving experience, with fully simulated engines, powertrains, suspensions and aerodynamics.
