Прошёл fable 2004 года, какое-то относительно современное издание на пк. Fable многими считается своего рода классикой, для многих игра детства, и в целом игру повсеместно принято любить и очень редко можно встретить негатив в сторону серии и или конкретно первой части. Однако на деле, если ты не пропитан ностальгией к этой игре, то скорее всего ничего кроме раздражения она у тебя не вызовет. В игре достойная на момент выхода графика, качественная сказочная атмосфера и музыка, свой уникальный карикатурный дизайн, нормальный сюжет, но на этом, пожалуй, позитивные стороны заканчиваются. В игре радикально крошечные локации, количество загрузок запредельное. Вся игра состоит из боёвки (её очень много) которая отсасывает нереально, а если будете играть не за колдуна, то вообще сойдёте с ума от унылой дрочки мобов. В fable очень пытались продвигать фишку с этическими выборами, мол если будешь злым, то отрастут рога и проч. И это просто жалко реализовано, в kotor который вышел годом ранее это было реализовано настолько лучше, при этом это не рекламировалось с невероятным апломбом как делал это главный геймдизайнер fable (Мулинье). Различные приколы, например с женитьбой, реализованы крайне заскриптованно и смысла большого не имеют. Битвы с боссами невероятно унылы. Присутствуют просто умопомрачающие сегменты со стэлсом, будь проклят выродок, который их туда вставил. Открытый мир линейный и убогий. Определённо игра ниже среднего, несмотря на то что репутации такой не имеет – 4/10.

This game was a first for me. I played for over 10 hours and then I couldn't stand it and quit. The main reasons are as follows:-You can't save during a side quest, the game allows you to save either before or after: Some of the side quests can take a long time. Maybe you can be patient, but other factors got on my nerves. And I like RPGs where you can save whenever you want. -The game respawns the dead minions there when you switch between doors to gain XP: This is a design choice. Because Morrowind, which came out 2 years ago, can save where you are and what you do. This disgraceful game doesn't have that. -The game is extremely childish. Okay, it was like that in the beginning, that's reasonable anyway, the characters are children, but the situation didn't change much when they grew up. You're still dealing with the stupid black girl. And I think I did the worst thing you can do in the game there. I killed this girl to become the arena champion. And NOTHING happened after that. HAHAHAHAHA. -It makes you feel like trying to be the bad character in the game is a waste of time. Because our child is affiliated with this organization of heroes, you do good in most of the side missions. There are few side missions where you are given the option to do evil. Even the Regenade style in Mass Effect is worse than the one in this game.

It's not as good a game as claimed by the fanbase. Neither the characters nor the story of Fable are memorable and it's a very poor RPG in terms of mechanics. The only reason it's praised so much is because of nostalgia. The Lost Bay level, which was added with the Lost Chapters version, no longer has any charm or meaning when you get to that point in the game. It makes no sense in terms of story and is just an area added to extend the gameplay.
