EA Sports UFC 3 is definitely not the greatest UFC/MMA game. But, it does have some pros. It has realistic striking with the motion tech thing, a big roster of fighters, smooth animations and visuals, decent mechanics, and replayable with multiple modes. The problems are that UFC 3 can be hard for new players, Career Mode is good but will quickly get old and repetitive once you reach the GOAT level of your career, unfair AI enemies, online servers shut down, limited ground offense, few tutorials and it can sometimes feel clunky. Overall, UFC 3 is an ok MMA game, but could be better.

UFC 3 is the best UFC game so far. UFC 4 and UFC 5 control scheme is worse than UFC 3. Why did EA mess with it? I loved playing UFC 3. UFC 4 and UFC 5 doesn't interest me one bit. They messed with one of my favourite games. I'm so disappointed

This is the first title I play with Ea Sports UFC and he as some good elements and some bad ones. Game feels realistic and with good features. Career is a short one (this is how I feel) because I have to do more trainins than shows and feels short.

its pretty fun. playing it with your friends is fun, the online can be pretty fun at times, but other than that not much

I personally found UFC 3 to be the best UFC game. It's better than 4 in my opinion. I enjoy the gameplay and career mode more on this one. I enjoyed Ultimate team as well. I recommend this over 4.

I really, really like UFC 3, but there are some huge issues with certain aspects of the game. I've put a lot of time into Career Mode and feel that I have enough experience with the game to voice an opinion. As a whole the game is really solid, it looks good and there are plenty of game-modes to keep everyone busy. Where the game lets itself down is the AI. I understand how damage, stamina and stats work but some of the things that the AI does is simply superhuman. I don't care how good a certain fighter is in the real world but when they are rocked twice in quick succession and knocked down they are not going to be able to whip out an arm bar from the bottom position when you are at near full stamina. It feels like the game was almost ready but EA or maybe UFC demanded it be released without that little bit of polish that it needed. Some of the physics are kind of janky too, the collision detection at times is all over the place, but again, on a whole the game is really good. Its a technical fighter, almost a strategy game where you need to think and pick your punches. Its nothing like the cartoony violence like MK or SF. The blows are brutal and the damage is visceral. You can really feel the hits. Overall, there is a really good game here if you want to put the time in and work past the AI inconsistencies. I'm going to keep playing, because there's nothing else out there like it and I am looking forward to UFC 4. I just wish people would stop moaning about it like they do, its pretty cheap now on PSN and if you're a UFC fan you really owe it to yourself to give it a go. 7/10

The grappling and the submission in this game are such a nightmare it will have you pulling your hair out. Be warned, the striking in this game is fantastic, everything else is absolutely horrid.

Game had huge potential. Had a lot of fun in the beginning and then boom. The worst possible submission mechanic has entered the chat. Literally **** Looked up guides and all on how to get out of submission and literally nothing helped. Also, unless you have max stamina, you can't get out of a takedown. **** video game. Cmon EA.

What a huge surprise that yet another EA game is way more focused on microtransactions than actual fun. The grappling is just atrocious. The striking is fine, but shouldn't we get more than just fine from a major sports game. Another shocking surprise, the critic reviews are pretty good. They always are, but the games are always terrible. Can we cancel EA? Is that a thing? Its like they're holding our happiness hostage. Remember when you paid full price for a complete game that was enjoyable? Pepperidge farm remembers.

As I never got to play UFC Undisputed 3, this game remains my favourite MMA game to date, there's just something about it that made it more fun than UFC4, probably the ranked mode offering more choice to the player and the career mode being much less grindy. Gameplay is great, visuals are great and any MMA fan will have a blast playing the game.

Carrier mode is okay, online really could be better and solo mode is boring. Indeed this is a game, but powerfull strikes should deal more damage and KO should be a little easier due to how many kicks and power strikes on head oponent can take. Sadly the best way to win is to spam lowkicks. Grappling aginast AI is incredibely hard.

Online ranked is full of babies (im guessing by the way they spam overhands and stuff) and if you quit a fight you get minus 30 points but if someone else quits on you you only receive 2 points or something like that Its just a very broken system. I dont care about the career mode so i dont know

Wtf were these guys thinking this time around... like this is bad, sad and a total mess. Can't adjust sliders or anything for quick fight to make things a little more realistic. And the lack of freedom with this kind of thing is absolutely ridiculous. Its a video game, let us have fun the way WE want.

Overall good gameplay and great visuals can't change the fact that this game feels like it was made by an EA Game Generator AI - empty, generic and unimpressive.

As good as this game could have been, as **** it is. Submissions and ground game are absolutely ****, go against khabib and it is almost impossible to deny any transition altough The opponent is just spamming them. Meta combos are also ****, everybody does knee-elbow or overhand-hook. I really like mma and I fell like breaking The controller when a **** kid spams elbows and knees

The gameplay fun and interesting. It makes you feel like you are a ufc fighter.

Carreer mode is Amazing (except some inexplicable bugs) and I also like gameplay except for the submissions that are annoying and frustrating. Nice online 1vs1, but Ultimate Team is really useless and it feels like UFC 3 needs some more modes.

Fun game to play with friends and the career mode is overall good but the striking is way too slow and draining. It's like there's almost an input delay when you press a button and your person gets gassed after one combo. The grappling system is incredibly frustrating because there's no clear way to get out **** and despite beating the career mode I still don't know how the submission system works. Anytime I was put in a submission I had to restart the match because I would automatically lose despite following the in game prompts. The ai difficulty curve is fantastic as long as they aren't doing grappling. Sometimes you'll have a fight that goes the distance and other times you'll win a fight with a lucky shot 30 seconds in. The controls are a bit more intuitive than 2 as well as the difficulty being much more manageable. If you're a UFC fan pick this one up.

A lot like nba2k. You can win all you like and then hey wow computer cheats in last seconds. If you want to smash the ufc's poster boys heads in like adesanya and mcgregor the game has been rigged so those fighters dont lose.

Terrible. Fun only enough to play until you realize mechanics mean the computer can just decide you don't win. I enjoyed the career mode in the UFC Undisputed series in the last generation of consoles. I thought I'd enjoy this when I found it for $20 on the PS store. And I did, for awhile. I started playing on easy, to learn all the mechanics because I knew it was complicated. I've seen some complaints about the stand up controls, and they're a little clunky, but once you learn them they aren't too bad. At first the ground fighting and clinch seems complicated but once you figure it out it isn't too bad either, at first. But once you get good enough to move beyond easy you realize something about the computer. That is they are able to do things you aren't. You lose stamina when they don't. They can block whatever transition they want, until they decide to let you go. The normal level is frustrating enough. But the high difficulty level is just stupid. I had a character, with max ground stats, moves maxed, all the perks to support what I was trying to do, and my opponent's stats weren't maxed, but I couldn't win. I couldn't do anything. I could initiate a submission from every potion but I couldn't finish. The computer moves before the graphics even appear on screen. I made an account to complain about this game. Just don't buy it. I don't think they bothered to do much play testing.

The worst game in my collection of games. It is complete garbage. The whole game is depending on the stats of your fighter. So have fun seeing the same overpowered fighters over and over.

I had to write a review for this game as ive played it since it came out in 2018, now 2020. most peoples reviews haven't tried to put time into the game because its too boring. The Good Parts Ufc 3 is the Best Ufc Game Yet, Gameplay Wise. The Striking is Detailed and Competitive Ufc 3 Customisation is better than Ufc 2 and 1 The Bad Parts... The Grappling is Very boring, Even once you've learned it thoroughly and is almost a copy paste of Ufc 2's grappling with Minor Tweaks. Avoid Ultimate Team All together Ultimate Team introduced Real life fighters, which takes the fun out of what ufc 2's ultimate team was about. making your own fighter and cimbing the ranks, it makes it feel like ranked mode but your fighter has less moves, and attributes, And the Moves.... Ultimate team is made to take your money, and moves are made easily accessable with real life money, you make around 700 - 300 coins in a normal match, packs cost upwards of 5000 coins. The Knockout Mechanics and Physics the knockouts get old fast, you'll find yourself seeing the same knockouts you saw ten 5 games ago there is no variation and the ufc 2's Ragdoll physics were MUCH better than Ufc 3's in ufc 3 when you hit your opponent when he/she going down it gives you the sound effect, but doesnt actually affect them, their head doesnt move, they just follow the same pre made knockdown which takes the fun out of it. the ground and pound.. when you knock your opponent down your ground and pound punches do not vary at all, the same straight punch, every. single. fight. in ufc 2, when you knocked your opponent down (in which the ragdoll was beautiful) you could vary your punches and look like a gorilla smashing your opponent with whatever you had, Overall ufc 3 is headed in the right direction with the standup Ground game and clinch needs revamped. ultimate team needs to be made like ufc 2 again but made better Knockdowns need Major improvment, Ufc 2 did it best Career mode is not detailed enough and is only needed to be played around twice if you try it without HUD. DONT LET ANDRE WARD AND ISACC FROST BE USED IN RANKED MODE ARE YOU DUMB. 6/10 In some ways better than UFC 2 and in some ways Not

I put a 0 cause of the fakes or biased reviews. As a fighter with a 2-0 record in amateur (you can follow me on ig ippomma) the gameplay mechanics feel weird, they want to be sim oriented but at the same time it feels really arcady ! The animation are terrible it look lile all the fighters are Dominick Cruz and are light sparring but make their opponent fly 7 feet above the ground with a jab, the imput lag is crazy there is a full 1.2 second between the time you press the button and you charachter execute. everything has a purpose lets say in the game you throw an uppercut and my opponent throw a hook, for wathever reason the Uppercut will win wich is not always the case (lidell vs evans finish for exemple) well people say the striking is good and ground game bad but compared to ea ufc 3 everything is bad

In a word, appalling. Why are the options for tattoo choices only limited to generic designs and objectified images of women? Why not include designs that feature men being sexualised as well? So sexist, and so disappointing. UFC must stand for u **** c****.

Annoying as hell to Land 50 strikes on the enemy and he wins with 8 landed strikes. After striking an enemy that lays at the bottom for 2 minutes he just stood up and ended me with a jab. Wtf ea.

Lesson of life, If you see the name Geoff "the brain of donkey" Harrower's name on any game’s cast, avoid it like cancer. This disaster of a dump you call EA SPORTS UFC 3 is exactly what happens when EA puts a unqualified knucklehead on a leading roll of a licensed game with unlimited budget and 0 quality control. Unfortunately game itself will still sell as long as Geoff keep hanging out with UFC celebrities and sitting on UFC license Only at EA, Geoof and his totally incompetent team can keep rolling out 3 low quality garbage which averaged out 3.5/10 reviews and still get a blank check from EA for the next garbage. UFC 3 In a nut shell. 1. Ultra unresponsive control made this a turn based combat: Massive input delay + poorly built net environment made your feel like your fighter never follow your commands, moment to moment decision making is out of question, say if you see a middle kick coming your way, you meant to guard your middle section, sorry, it’s not how this garbage game works, everything react in Actually, the input delay and garbage net code is so self telling, these low IQ self pro-cliamed “developers” don’t even bother to hide it anymore, you can feel the full unresponsiveness in fighter select screen without get into the fight! 2. Advanced strike that hit your opponent’s face & body solid fail to register 30% of time, and can be cheesed by just keep walking up & down. I don’t know who decide this trash can hit the shelves with such quality & even after so many patches, imaging you are in a eSport event projected to 10000+ audience and your tonado kick land on your opponent’s face but game is not register, and result in a instant KO from a slow upper cut. This is why no eSport will take this trash seriously. 3. Most low IQ combo system in the history of fighting game, UFC3 got the budget for a fighting sim game, but ended up with a combo system similar to MK11 & Tekken, pre-memorized combo will punish you for a move you didn’t execute, or executed 5 secs ago, at time it truly feels like the fighters are fighting by itself without your control. And most importalty, different fighter will have different command for the same move, say a knee to the body will be R2 + O for fighter x and it’s a flying knee to the head for fighter y. speechless, I can’t help but to think how much the genius who came up with this fail at life 4. 0 Take down defense, fighter with high grappling status all have 100% none deniable take downs, some even launch across half the octagon with 0 stamina plenty or risk, extremely spamable and no vaild way to deny. Funny thing is take downs are already easy enough to success pre patch if you execute in the right time, till some cheese cry to this “brain of donkey” Geoff how they want keep spamming and that’s exactly what Geoff gave to them. I’d pay double of $59.99 to ban Geoff from touching another video game, for the sake of humanity.

I don't know why people hate this game so much, just because it isn't the same as undisputed and because it's made by EA and has microtransactions for ultimate team? Grow up! I didn't buy it for ages because of the shocking reviews, and now I've got it I'm pissed at all the people who gave such bad reviews because I think it's awesome. Nearly every aspect of the game is exactly like the real sport is and every fighter is really unique in their abilities and how you have to play with them. The only thing I find needs work is the mechanics of getting into the clinch. I've used a 3rd of the roster, which is huge btw, and I've only found one fighter that has an ability missing that they use in real life, ovince st pruex doesn't have the arm triangle despite him having the record most head and arm chokes in the division, to the degree that the commentators want to rename it the St pruex choke. Other than that all of the rest of the fighters I've used have played exactly how the actually fight. People need to stop **** just because the game isn't what they were looking for and leave the ratings to people who will actually rate it properly!

Game is a fun multiplayer experience and i feel people bashed it for small mistakes, not a 10/10 i would call it a solid 7/10 but giving this 10 to balance out people who gove a game of this quality a 0-4 rating

A downgrade from an already mediocre game in UFC 2. EA shows that yet again don`t really improve game play from the previous title in series to the newest one. Boring game play, more customization options, but apart from that it`s not a very impressive. Wouldn`t recommend

Pure trash! Save Your money and stick with UFC2. Shame on you, EA Canada...
