It's rare that I play a game that doesn't just let me play the way I like, but actually showers me with prizes for doing so, and I love it.

Despite the quality of the combat, the emphasis on gameplay options, the diverse set of augmentations and the substantial side-missions, what will stay with me about Human Revolution is its focus on creating a rich, believable world filled with interesting characters, themes and conflicting ideals. The mere fact that it aims for such lofty narrative heights is commendable, the fact that it achieves them is worthy of celebration.

Intelligent, fun, challenging and beautifully realized, DX:HR is an incredibly polished game that lives up to the impossibly high standard of its predecessor.

In a stealth genre that's been abandoned by its heroes on current-gen platforms, Deus Ex: Human Revolution remains true to its roots and provides the sequel that we'd all hoped for but feared would never live up to the billing. Games don't get much better than this.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is an incredible gaming experience. Whe game isn't the "best" in terms of any one of its individual traits, it is really good at all of them... resulting in one of the best games of our generation. Though it is unlikely that its accolades and status will ever eclipse that of the original Deus Ex, it definitely stands as a worthy successor in the series.

There are plenty of open-ended games out there, but few really emphasize player choice like Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The result is the follow-up Deus Ex fans have been waiting for and one of the year's best.

In this current gen's masterpiece, Philip Dick meets William Gibson and Blade Runner meets the original Deus Ex. We can't see how on earth Warren Spector will stick with making another Disney game.

With deep, involving ethical questions, and systems that test players beyond their ability to pick the right gun, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is – in many, many ways – a game for thoughtful players.

Human Revolution surpasses the original in every way possible and redefines the Action-RPG for a new generation of gamers and game designers.
