Dave the Diver is a fantastic game, and In the Jungle is every bit as good. The quality and variety on offer are something few games can match.

What stands out most is how natural all of it feels. Utara Village feels like it has always been part of Dave’s world. The freshwater ecosystem gives players something genuinely different to explore, and the steady introduction of new mechanics means the DLC never becomes overwhelming despite how much there is to do. While I hope that MINTROCKET continues building onto Dave’s existing adventure rather than splitting it into separate games, I’ll happily dive back in either way.

Mintrocket have advertised the In the Jungle DLC as the largest and most ambitious DLC for Dave the Diver yet; a huge celebration of the title's third birthday. It's safe to say that the team have absolutely delivered on a spectacular birthday blow out for Dave and the gang, with tonnes of new content, a fun mystery to solve and a host of delicious new dishes to salivate over.

Packed to the gills with activities and swimming with great characters, In The Jungle is just as charming and surprising as the base game.

The sheer number of innovations and creative ideas would justify a standalone spin-off or even a sequel. An absolute must-play for Dave fans.

As a longtime farming and life sim enthusiast, I felt right at home, but I could see some fans yearning for simpler times. For me, though, this is everything I wanted In the Jungle to be and more, taking what I love about Dave the Diver and pulling in even more cozy gaming classics to level it up a step further.

For those fans who’ve been waiting for the next Dave the Diver, this DLC more than bridges a gap. It arrives as a near full-length sequel to its predecessor, at just a fraction of the cost. Anyone wishing to revisit the Blue Hole, or anyone thinking about travelling there as a newbie, should make time for this wild and wonderful jungle trip.

It feels like the perfect way to continue the Dave the Diver saga, and the addition of a plethora of content makes it worth the price tag and the time commitment. It’s not just a short, done-and-dusted additional pack—it feels like a well-polished game. It has a great blend of both old and new mechanics that keep the game engaging.

Dave the Diver: In the Jungle successfully carries over the enjoyable loop of exploration and restaurant management, offering a fresh experience in its new setting. However, the latter half feels a bit underwhelming due to a lackluster final encounter, a somewhat flat new character, and a narrative conclusion that feels slightly incomplete.
