It was okay. But unfortunately, nothing more than that. Everything drags on a bit, like chewing gum. Is it playable? Yes. But if you miss it, it's not the end of the world.

One of the most boring games I've ever played. I couldn't finish it because I kept falling asleep. Uninstalled!

I've been waiting for a mystery game like this for a long time! The puzzles are challenging, and the atmosphere is darker than horror, but it's perfect for thinking things through and stepping into the shoes of a Miskatonic occult investigator! There are plenty of references to Lovecraft’s broader body of work, but it’s also accessible to non-fans, and that’s a real feat! You might get a bit spooked by the first two chapters, which are really wordy, but after that, things calm down as you delve deeper into the “depths.” The same goes for the graphics, which get more and more stunning as the story unfolds. In short, it was a treat from start to finish, and I’m giving it a high rating even though I found the final chapter very challenging, I think anyone who loves the Lovecraftian atmosphere should definitely give it a try.Translated with **** (free version)

This game was a real surprise. I went in with zero expectations and got hooked almost immediately. It’s a really engaging investigation game. It doesn’t hold your hand too much—you have to figure everything out on your own. Finally, a game that respects the player! That’s **** you’re not ready to invest yourself, stay away. But if you want a game that makes you think, dig for answers, and rewards you for it, then dive into Cthulhu: Cosmic Abyss. I barely ran into any bugs. I played on PC. It’s not a AAA title, but the atmosphere and visuals are absolutely mesmerizing.

Nice story, with a lot of reading and thinking. Not an action game, but more of a detective experience. Some minor technical issues on my side, like occasional micro-lag, although the game runs well with DLSS and frame generation. I have over 10 hours of playtime. I’m not familiar with Lovecraft’s world, but I really got into it, and the investigation mechanics feel very realistic.

If you are looking for a survival horror or action game, this is not. Instead, it is an excellent investigative puzzle-adventure with an engaging, Lovecraftian cosmic-horror narrative. The game unfolds gradually and shouldn't be rushed, allowing you to immerse yourself and connect all the intel pieces. The investigation-style board is a standout feature, packed with clues and subtle details that reward careful attention. Rather than holding your hand, the game trusts you to connect the dots on your own, which makes solving things feel genuinely rewarding without losing its edge. The visuals are excellent, creating a well-crafted cosmic-horror atmosphere, and the game's performance was solid for 60+ FPS, using 2160p (base native res) with TSR upscaling set to 66,7%, and lowering from Epic to High on a few settings (Shadows, Reflections, and GI) and to Medium on Effects. It has some minor bugs, but it's nothing game-breaking, so I rate it an 8 out of 10.

The game is riddled with bugs and offers absolutely nothing in terms of gameplay. I've rarely been so bored.

Howdy from Texas, Hope y’all doin’ good. In between a couple good BBQs I gotta say Cthulhu The Cosmic Abyss took me straight into another world. The story really pulls you in, visuals are real solid, had a few slowdowns here and there but nothin’ that ruins the ride. The investigation system works pretty damn well, The Vault kinda feels like an investigator board but in a more modern way. Key, the AI that sticks with Noah the investigator you play cowboy brings a bit of life, cause you don’t run into many folks down in them abysses. Sound design’s real good, music fits just right and builds up the mood. Some puzzles can get a bit tricky but man it feels good when you crack em.I’d recommend it to anyone lookin for a trip into a modern take on Lovecraft, and who ain’t afraid of a bit of reading.
