Digital Chumps
Crimson Moon from developer ProbablyMonsters is a gorgeous action RPG roguelike that is quite the uphill battle at the get-go. Still, thanks to good backend and frontend rewards, it makes the difficulty worthwhile. The controls do need some work, as do consistent updates, but in the end it’s more fun than not.

The Outerhaven
At the end of the day, Crimson Moon doesn’t need to reinvent the Soulslike genre to be worth your time. It knows exactly what it wants to be, a quick, loot-heavy romp you can tackle solo or with a friend, and it does that well enough to earn a spot in your rotation. The camera hiccups and a few control quirks keep it from being a home run, but for $20, it’s an easy recommendation. Sometimes a game doesn’t have to blow you away to be worth playing, and Crimson Moon proves that.

I really loved the game concept, mixing the soulslike formula with a roguelike touch, the progression feels earned and the combat had veriaty, but it still misses some accessibility features..

Amazing one for only 20€. If you are looking for a triple A, move out. But, if you are looking for a pleasant game, whith souls mechanicals, online with a friend, and have fun for many hours, this is a really good game. People crys against the keybinding, but you also can change it, that's all, or play with a controller, which i recommanded. Well, very good game for 20€ !

For what it is right now, Crimson Moon’s $20 price tag is entirely appropriate. I had a lot of fun with the game’s combat, which supports both solo and duo play. I can easily see developer Probably Monsters adding more levels, monsters, and gear. With a few patches to iron out the camera, Crimson Moon will be a solid choice for fans of fantasy action.

But Why Tho?
While its less-than-stellar features can be a game-breaker for some, Crimson Moon is an engaging, unique game that offers several great features.

Loot Level Chill
Crimson Moon is no masterpiece in a year replete with them, but it’s a decent debut for ProbablyMonsters, nonetheless.

GamingTrend
Crimson Moon is a decent run-based action game with interesting lore. Its combat lacks the “oomph” to make it a satisfying experience, and there are times that make the experience feel like a slog, but it can be fun if you’re looking for something to enjoy while catching up on podcasts.

There was clearly an attempt to make a good game here. While Crimson Moon’s Unreal Engine-driven environments and the great progression system try their best to carry the experience, the final result is constantly suffocated by the convoluted story, a limited weapon pool, and a lack of accessibility options. Even when the co-op action starts to click, the lethal camera system and the game’s inability to prepare you for its mechanics quickly kill the momentum.

Its a solid game and still early so this game can go anywhere from here. It is more challenging than expected, yet still stays fun and enjoyable. Really wasn't a fan of them requiring me to share data to even play the game. Most companies have gave you the option at least to turn off, which I always do. I think some time, updates, more content may be very encouraging for this game and this series.

The game itself features a strong story from the start, combat that let's everyone play (You don't have to be soulslike pro to enjoy) and a developer that supports the game **** sure, keybindings are important, but I had no huge issues while playing myself especially not with controller (tested both).

Wait 50% discount and fixing alot of things or buy elden ring instead. Only good about this game is price and game not unique. Dont care about keybinding this game is bad very repetitive very clunky unresponsive controls sluggish soul like solo-coop woke game, awful level design, awful delay unless dodge, very clunky sluggish uninteresting combat, camera need work and glitches. -only worth not greedy company they know game not good. This game really need alot of works, now companies releasing unfinished untested unpolished games.
