Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is the best kart racing remake and a perfect return to a childhood favorite with modern visuals. It successfully brings back the nostalgic feel while updating the presentation for a new generation. I played through the Adventure (career) mode and really enjoyed the experience. It was fun, engaging, and captured the spirit of the original game while still feeling fresh and polished.

Ele não só moderniza o clássico de PS1, como também adiciona conteúdo, refinamentos e uma apresentação que deixa tudo com cara de jogo atual, sem perder a essência original. O maior destaque é o controle. O sistema de drift continua sendo o coração da jogabilidade, e aqui ele está ainda mais preciso e satisfatório. Dominar o impulso, os turbos e as curvas faz toda a diferença, e isso cria uma curva de aprendizado que é ao mesmo tempo desafiadora e extremamente recompensadora. A sensação de velocidade também é muito bem feita. As pistas são criativas, cheias de atalhos, perigos e variações que deixam cada corrida diferente. Mesmo jogando repetidas vezes, ainda existe espaço para melhorar desempenho e descobrir novas formas de correr melhor. Outro ponto forte é a quantidade de conteúdo. O jogo traz não só o CTR original, mas também conteúdo de Nitro Kart e várias pistas adicionais, além de personalização de karts e personagens. Isso dá uma longevidade enorme para a experiência. Visualmente, o remake é excelente. Os cenários são muito coloridos, detalhados e cheios de personalidade, mantendo o estilo cartunesco da franquia com uma qualidade técnica muito superior. Cada pista parece viva e cheia de identidade própria. A parte sonora também ajuda bastante, com efeitos e trilha que reforçam o clima competitivo e divertido das corridas. Por outro lado, o jogo pode ser bastante difícil, especialmente para quem não domina o sistema de drift. O nível de habilidade necessário para competir bem pode afastar jogadores mais casuais em alguns momentos. Além disso, a progressão em certos modos pode ser um pouco exigente, já que vencer consistentemente requer prática e domínio das mecânicas principais. Mesmo assim, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled é um remake extremamente bem executado. Ele respeita o original, melhora o que precisava ser melhorado e ainda entrega uma das experiências de kart mais satisfatórias já feitas. Nota: 10/10

Loved the original, and those things are here. Fresher, more tracks, characters, and skins, and customizable karts makes it worth the ride. But the game delevels istelf by not being able to have newer features. Like the ability to set up your own cup (pick and chose among the tracks). Team racing like in Mario-Kart to name a few. to reignite an older game, it's good to bring the old things to new, but the creators were limited back then, and just copying and pasting an old game to new with the same features isn't enough. But as it is, is a fun 15-minute joy ride I'll go back to here and there.

It's quite acceptable within its genre, but I would have liked a better and longer story mode. Also, it's a shame it doesn't reach 60 FPS on PS4 Pro/PS5, considering Mario Kart 8 does on Switch.

CTR Nitro-Fueled is one of the racing games i'll definitely recommend to a PS4 user. The controls, gameplay, visuals, character roster and tracks are great. There are some flaws like the CTR coin and Crystal challenges are not that easy. The microtransactions are a slight issue and you need to play atleast 5 Cup Races to buy one character to spend your Wumpa Coins on. But, the 2x Wumpa Coin weekend bonus really helps if you wanna save up for a character bundle. Another flaw is that the loading screen times are also very long. Despite those flaws, Nitro-Fueled is still a good racing game to this day. I recommend this if you want a slightly friendly, cartoony, fun racing game.

I am completely satisfied with the game and enjoy it. Almost everything in this game is great, and the many characters, cars, and tracks are one of the obvious reasons why I think the game is awesome even in 2025.

The handling and controls are terrible! I tried to play this game with my friends and we all got bored and frustrated after the very first race! even the drifting is janky like how can you mess the drifting up?!

Okay, here my problem. You can't compare this game to Mariokart, or at least don't want to. But the only problem is there so much that feels like it was made to directly compete with mario kart. Okay here are my positives. The game looks great, the visuals are unique and, every crash character is well detailed and faithful to the original. The courses aren't anything special, but from time to time you;ll get an actually enjoyable one. Here are my gripes. It's too item focused, and the items aren't balanced. Similar to Mario Kart Wii, Crash Team Racing isn't very interested in unique track design, or drift fueled racing. It's primary focus is to be 1 of 2 things. 1: a single player focused kart racer, or 2 a simple run of the mill kart racer that you get if you don't own a switch. Not awful, but not great.

A remake of the best kart-racer of all time. Yes, the baby character additions make no sense, yes, the free DLC only has (2) good tracks included, yes it had microtransactions added after the good reviews poured in, yes the loading times are absymal, yes, the vast majority of skins and wheels are obnoxious, yes the art-style isn't as edgy and full of vitality as the original CTR, but you can play as the CNK bosses on CNK tracks, play as CTTR characters and of course, it's a remake of the best kart-racer of all time.

Jugablemente es muy bueno pero a nivel técnico tiene muchos errores. Cuando cambias los controles solamente se cambian para el jugador 1. También cuando jugás sin internet no te deja jugar de a 2 o más porque entrasa la personalización de auto, y ese es un menúque requiere internet SIN SENTIDO ALGUNO. Además las pantallas de carga son muy largas. Después de eso tiene bastante contenido y está bueno. Agrego ahora que me encontré con muchos bugs a pesar de que el juego ya tiene varios años y unas cuantas actualizaciones encima. No creo que siquiera quieran arreglar lo roto y mal diseñado que estáen sus objetos.

I played for 2 hours and I know I could play some more or even finish it but I feel like I've seen all I needed to see. Maybe playing with friends could change my rating, I don't know. Also, you need you wait quite a lot between races and meanwhile you cannot change the tips of the screen.

Loading times absolutely unacceptable for a 2019 game. Difficulty level is not well tuned, easy is pointless and difficult is impossible.

Masterpiece best cart racer ever made. The cars are a little too floaty at times compared to the original which can lead to missed inputs when trying to make drifts but other than that this game is nearly perfect. Also only 30 fps which is a bummer.

From snappy controls, satisfying boosts and gripping gameplay, this is without a doubt the best kart racer to date. The adrenaline pumping fun you have is something that is very hard to match with any other racing game or even any other game in general. Beenox absolutely killed it and hats off to the OG Naughty Dog Developers too. Only shame is the addition of micro transactions.

It's a little sad that this game is constantly underminded now because of microtransactions, but the base game is shocking great. Aside from the overall hard, hard mode, the game is an amazing remake of a classic with a bunch of added goodness, and a great single player campaign for a cart racer that actually feels like an adventure.

I like the game, a completely faithful remake of the PS1 original with some extra. The amount of characters, skins and customizations for the kart are impressive! Aesthetically I find it beautiful, almost on the level of an animated film. Maybe a little disappointment in the Pit Stop, having to open the game every day and hope you can buy what you really want. Long loads are really annoying, even when installing it on SSD, and the frame rate capped at 30 is not the best for such a frenetic game.

I really like CTR on Switch, without spoiling the game as being racing orientated there isn't much to it I'll say it's all the favourites you'd hope for while the races themselves even against the AI can be challenging but fair with powerups being evenly balanced and you never feel like the game is actively trying to be unfair toward the player which is a problem far too common in Mario Kart 8. What is very disappointing about CTR though is that there is no gyro support and there is no way to modify your cart to help give some depth, otherwise CTR is a good fun game best experienced with friends.

Este es un juegazo de crash y karts, los graficos, el contenido, las mecánicas y el gameplay son excelentes! Cuando juge este juego me aburrí del mario kart incluso cuando juego mario kart lo noto torpe y tosco al lado de este juego. Hoy en día en playstation el online sigue vivo así que lo recomiendo muchísimo!

it's a bit confusing before it is straight forward, and the default controls make me want to yeat of a building but after grasping those concepts its a good game

To me this is a really fun game, and a really great one. It needs a lot more of optimization and maybe remove some of the microtransactions, but the best part is that they do not damage what a fun an addictive game this is. Hoping for a new one pretty soon

What a great title, one of the most frenetic racing games of recent times. It maintains all the essence of the original and is expanded to include tracks and characters from other Crash works as well as from the Activision universe in general. Fun to the max, both to have a good time alone or with friends.

The overall score is based on how much fun I personally had with every component of the game and the overall experience.

One of the best game ever, finally in HD. Everything is perfect (except the multiplayer p2p), everything is like it originally was, awesome!! We still need the PC porting on STEAM (2023)...

The game itself is good. But the load times are unbearable, around 45 seconds each. Most levels are finished in a few minutes. I actually timed them, and for every hour of playtime, I was spending 15mins watching a loading screen. It's also stuffed with greedy microtransactions, and only has the campaign from the first game. So all the levels from Nitro Kart (the 2nd game) can only be played in the Arcade or Online modes, despite them having a Story mode in the original Nitro Kart. They could have taken the time investment that they put into microtransactions, and used it to add the missing campaign instead. But they chose the option that favors the publisher, not the player.

Sorry but i've tried pretty much evry racing game on the ps. This one was given as 'better' than Mario Kart by some random website. That will teach me.. NOTHING beats Mario Kart. This one has the same issues (or i have same issues with)as most, view angle is awful, the kart hides the track in front.. most of the time you can't see which way to go. And the loading times are awful. Huge disappointment

Crash has long been Sony's attempt to wrest the karting crown from Mario and this is a nice looking and fun reiteration. The problem is that we've seen it all before numerous times and it just isn't half as much fun without friends to race against.

I started playing this game again on PS5. Graphically it’s amazing. Bring back all the feels from playing on the PS1. The load times a vastly improved over playing on a PS4. Especially playing with friends locally. However, the game just isn’t enjoy playing locally by yourself. The difficultly is very frustrating not to mention the insane rubber banding the cpu characters get over you. If you hit one level hazard and or hit by the CPU you may as well restart the race - you have zero chance of winning. I saw that the game will no longer be receiving future updates and that is a shame. Looks like the devs were only interested in the micro trans, sad. This game probably would have been more successful if the game play was the priority.

Post release microtransactions. A tactic where devs choose to wait until reviews come in to add in their greedy microtransactions to further drain the consumer after they've already paid full price for the game. A disgusting trick that ruined this remake of a classic.

This is the worst game of all time because it has microtransactions. I don't care about anything else in the game the microtransactions just make me so angry and you won't like me when I'm angry. GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

A beautiful package of innocent and pure gaming joy. Plays great, looks pretty, sounds excellent. It's a truly great remake.

A fine remastered but could have been better with more improvements to the multiplayer side.

CTR (1999) is one of my childhood games and one of my favorites. Then talking about this CTRNF, my first impression of playing this game in one month was EXHAUSTING, BAD, HORRIBLE, UGLY and DILEMATIC. 1. BAD: Loading is very long, on PS4 Slim it can take 40 seconds to 1 minute. 2. HORRIBLE: the jump button is delayed, and the car feels FLOATING (6 months later my friends recommended Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to me and Boom, this CTRNF game is getting worse and worse. The way the MK8D runs feels intuitive and soft as seen from the responsive tire suspension to the road, response to the turbo, respond when walking on water, when turning and so on) makes this CTRNF gameplay feel outdated. The only advantage of this CTRNF gameplay is that when jumping the animation of the car is made flex, perhaps to cover the shortcomings of the way the car runs, then from the way of jumping which reaches a higher height than MK8D and it is destroyed due to the DELAYING JUMP BUTTON. 3. EXHAUSTING: the price of one character is 2500 wumpa coins, cars can be more, single player on Electron Avenue is only 80 wumpa coins, when you are disconnected from the internet you can't get wumpa coins at all, of course also can't access the store. 4.UGLY: without internet makes character lists, cars, paint, tires, and stickers look VERY UGLY. Imagine the moment when Activision no longer supports this game and you are too lazy to grind, the list of car characters and others looks more and more destroyed (MK8D's decision to unlock Items from the first time and make Grinding easy, it was a very right decision). 5. DILEMATIC: The only thing this game is proud of is the graphics, and even then it's not enough because it runs at 30fps on the base model PS4 (dude, MK8D runs at 60fps on the Switch). And that's also what makes you feel bad to uninstall this CTRNF, Remake of this game is very beautiful and also bad. Conclusion: if you are a fan of Crash, please note that Crash was originally created to copy the Mario franchise and its Mario Kart. CB, CB 2: Cortex Strikes Back, CB 3 Warped and the ending is CTR on PS1. The Crash franchise has an identity crisis, which is why Sony is selling it. the creation of the next games from Crash on the next generation console starting from the PS2 gives the impression that this franchise is forced to continue its work when it is not necessary. Original CTR is much better than CTRNF, graphics are not the most important. There is something in the past that is better in the past

CTR:NF is everything a remaster/remake should be - the core DNA of the original preserved, but refreshingly modernised and evolved for the present day.

I really like how this game inspirade by Gran Turismo 7 and now I get to enjoy microtransaction like a true fan of microtransactions that I am. Did I mention that I also love NFT's cause I hope that the sequel will have them.

The game is beautiful and almost better than the original version. Especially because of the addition of the custom section. I deducted three points from this game because I gave scores between eight and ten to other games that I am more interested in, and I think if I give this game a higher score, I have done injustice to other games.

Doesn't have the primitive harsh feel of the classic. A little too much going on on levels. But overall, it's a fun swift time, but I never play it for over 20 minutes.

Anyone complaining about microtransactions is being completely foolish because you can unlock everything in the game by playing it. Nobody's demanding extra money for you to enjoy this game. It controls almost identical to the original, with updated graphics, and includes all of the original levels and main game from CTR, as well as many levels from Nitro Kart, and a ton of added levels that are easily some of the most fun in the series. So basically it's almost three times as many levels as the original, with just about every crash character available to play, including an unlockable crate character. They even added a couple more vehicle specs, which can be adjusted for any vehicle / character. I do have some complaints: Some of the newer characters are forgettable and unnecessary. Getting all of the coolest looking stuff is a bit grindy. And the out-of-bounds is occasionally a bit of a hard line, feeling unnecessarily strict occasionally. But aside from that, this is far from a disappointing version of CTR and I'm glad I bought it. HAIL KING CHICKEN.

El clásico de PSOne relanzado para plataformas actuales, ¿qué podría salir mal? La inclusión de las microtransacciones le resta algunos puntos, aunque no afectan a nivel jugable. Disfrutable como ya lo fue el original.

Creo que este juego ha sido muy infravalorado por la gente en lo personal es un juego de karts demasiado bueno y su online es uno de los mas difíciles sin duda alguna, la gente se queja de las micro transacciones pero en realidad nunca fueron obligatorias era mas fácil conseguirlo todo jugando el juego te ofrece muchas mecánicas para desempeñarte en realidad su único punto negativo fueron los servidores pero de ahí en fuera no digo mentiras si digo que en cuestiones de dificultad y competitividad este juego es infinitamente mejor que Mario Kart.

I was hoping for more mario-like game. Crash Team Racing has higher barrier of entry, it's hard for guests to pick up. The maps are a bit difficult as well as steering. I played a bit of campaign and learned how to drift, but it was generally not that great.

I'm a fan of crash bandicoot from ps1, CTRNF is a successful remake, already got master wheel too, really love this game
