I completely lost myself in this one! The characters are so wonderfully written and diverse—I became so invested in an interspecies couple trying to make things work and a game developer coping with burnout. The gameplay is super simple but incredibly satisfying; there's even a little latte art mechanic where you can draw on top of the drinks! It's so easy to play in quick bursts or just let it run in the background while you relax. If you love cozy visual novels with immaculate vibes and a chill, jazzy atmosphere, you absolutely need to check this out. It just fills you with warmth.

A pleasant, calm, enjoyable, game to just sit back and relax with. Urban fantasy is always a nice departure from High and Dark fantasy settings. A few hours just spent talking with interesting characters and making coffee.

Really chill game with a great lo fi soundtrack. The atmosphere is so good it actually makes me want to visit Seattle for real. If you want a relaxed story and some cozy drink making, this is a solid pick.

I absolutely love everything about this game. The art style is gorgeous, the story is incredibly engaging, and the overall mood is just unmatched. Plus, the actual gameplay of being a barista and figuring out everyone's drinks is genuinely so much fun. The perfect game to just chill and vibe with.

The game's world is a very interesting place. Humans, elves, squawks, and orcs all live together in a modern society. But this isn't just a fantasy setting. The game touches on very real issues like racism, intercultural relations, the difficulties of being an artist, and family pressure. Each character has their own troubles, dreams, and fears, and you truly connect with them as you listen to their stories in the early hours of the morning. The only downside is that it's a bit short. I would have liked more nights, more stories. That's why I gave it a 9 instead of a perfect score. But that's a minor flaw.

This game not only had a fantastic visual design but had a relaxing atmosphere as well. It hold a special place in my heart as it was the game I played when I was at one of my lowest moments, but for a game to give back some joy in that moment then it deserves high praise.

Excellent visual novel. Great story, great world creation, charismatic characters. Quiet story of the characters' daily lives. One of my favorite visual novels.

It's good, a bit repetitive in gameplay and storylines, but overall a stylistic and pleasant experience through and through.

a bad game most of it's just lisetning to the characters talk I mean if I could at least interact maybe it was something but I can't so its just boring listening to some bad stories and waiting for the second I could make a coffee that they didn't even tell me how to make it so I just put random stuff hoping I was right then serving them and realize I should put the primary as the secondary and the secondary as the primary. and then you got the endless that's just boring af and the challenge, the challenge is what I wished the endless to be but is also boring after like two minutes of playing so it raised my review just by a little. so in conclusion this all game is boring doesn't matter what game mode you're on.

Pretty much a non game. Cringeworthy dialogue and a non more basic coffee making mini game. Insultingly bad.

"Some few find solace in the embrace of bricks and wood and closed doors." That's one of the intro quotes for the game. Coffee Talk is a visual novel where your character is the barista and owner of a midnight café. It may sound boring at first, but if you think about it, only the most intriguing people would visit their favourite café at that time. The art style/ambientation is top notch, paired with interesting characters and a great soundtrack (it even has a Clair de Lune variation). The gameplay isn't too interesting, but that's expected from the genre. The thing that triggers me a little is the fact that you need to get every recipe perfectly if you want to see the whole story. Some achievements are also somewhat annoying; specifically, the "Art takes time" one. I get what they were trying to do, but an achievement which is just leaving the game AFK for an hour holds a lot of people back when it comes to 100%ing. So overall, if you like the genre, this could easily become one of your favourite games, and while some features drag it back, the pros overcome the cons.

Feels like a VA-11 HALL-A clone, and not in a good way. It does everything that game does, but less engaging. The art direction isn't as tight, the OST isn't as captivating, and the world feels less real. I think Coffee Talk runs into some of the same world-building issues Bright (the movie) did, incorporating fantasy races in a modern-day setting but then not sticking the landing on the why and how of it. The latte art mechanic would have been the one part of this game that was fresh and different compared to VA-11 HALL-A, but it doesn't actually allow you to make pretty latte art. The way the milk pours actively prevents it. I messed around with it for a long time and even tried to look up a tutorial, only to find clips of a professional gamer and a professional latte art maker both also struggling to get anything decent out of the mechanic. It apparently can't be done. Not that it matters. Whether you apply yourself or not, customers won't really care either way. The one thing that I preferred is that more customers can sit side by side. I liked that part. And I think this game can still have an audience with people who super love this genre and who will enjoy a same-y experience.

Bu tarz hikayeli oyunları seviyorsanız saracaktır. Ama ben bu türe doymuşum. Objektif olarak tavsiye ediyorum ancak subjektif olarak sıkıldım artık.

A wonderful story with a perfectly refined atmosphere. Note that when you buy this game the enjoyment isn't going to be mainly from the coffee making. It is going to be from following the lives of such an interesting cast with such thoroughly enjoyable dialogue. The only complaint I have is that I have spent a lot more money on coffee from local cafes & milk tea since I played since the game made it seem so appealing, and it has improved my life quite a bit.

A short but very interesting visual novel with minimal parts of the gameplay. There are only two downsides to this game. 1 - the game is very short, only by the end of the game you are already fully imbued with the atmosphere of a night cafe and communicating with visitors, and the game is already over. 2 - Whether you prepare the right drink affects the development of the plot, but there is no way to find out recipes for new drinks, except for tips before the start of a new day that are often repeated and can show the same thing that you do not need on a given day. In general, this is a very enjoyable, short visual novel with slightly non-linear gameplay that can be completed in one evening. There is not much gameplay, it is organically inserted into the game and it does not bother, but most of the recipes have to be taken from the Internet.

Coffee Talk is a relaxing visual novel, it is gentle and comfortable. But gameplay is a little boring, just make coffee with three ingredients. I want it to be more impressive, like more mini games. However, I like the Graphic and Sound, it is very good. I hope I will play a better game from Toge Productions.

A wonderful game that describes people's modern problems. pros: + A wonderful plot describing people's problems, despite the difficult plot topic, the story is not depressing, there are moments that are heart-touching, funny and stressful. In short, the story is well-balanced and you probably won't get bored with it + Brilliant graphic design thanks to which we can feel the emotions of the character + The game is neither too long nor too short + Low computer requirements + Each character has its own unique style + The game will have a second part Minuses - The game is a movie, in this production the only thing we can do is coffee, we cannot choose what we want to say (luckily what our barista says is balanced and most players will like what our character says) - There are few hints for making coffee, there are many recipes and you have to discover them yourself, which can be difficult I personally fell in love with this game, watching all the conversations and making coffee allowed me to forget about my own problems and feel much better, the game also has many messages.

Fantastic music, fantastic art style, fantastic characters and well written storylines. The sudden plot twist at the end kind of came out of nowhere, but still an overall really enjoyable experience.

I like this game because it is simple and easy to play .It is quite refreshing from the normal games like your normal action /adventure games and is a simple fun and easy game to play that you simply make coffee and talk to customers.

Coffee Talk is a comfortable visual novel about, well, coffee and talking. You serve drinks to magical creatures and listen to their worries each night whilst chill music is playing on the background. That is basically it. I do feel like the game needs some more substance to be better. After unlocking every possible ingredient after a few in-game days I was left a little disappointed. It would have been nice to maybe be able to upgrade the coffee shop or create custom drinks, just to have something more to do. Since this particular visual novel does not let you affect the dialogue in any way either, it becomes rather easy to feel like you're not actually doing anything. However, Coffee Talk looks and sounds very good, and everything from coffee making to creating latte art seems well thought out. Even the different phone apps are detailed despite not being an integral part of the game. Definitely one of the comfiest visual novel experiences out there!

This game is bland and superficial. Though it's a dialogue-heavy game, the script is not vividly portrayed characters' emotions and personalities. Background music playlist contains just a few songs which cannot satisfy my ears. I've expected bad reactions from the customers whenever I make wrong drink, however, nothing happens, what a disappointment! The only thing I appreciate about this game is that it build up an nearly authentic vibes of a coffee shop which means so much to me. Coffee Talks suits players who need to find peace during a short break while working.

Before you play/review be aware this a visual novel. If you don't dig this kind of game stay away. I'm not a big visual novel guy I like jumping straight in to the action and playing. However this game caught my attention on Steam and the low price point helped as well. I was pleasantly suprised at how easily the game flows and how well written the dialogue is. It's an immersive experience for sure as I don't remember the last time playing a game and being like "wow where did the time go? Been playing this for hours". If you're looking for a new experience this is a good option. I also love the art style a lot. Overall a fun, unique and thought provoking experience.

"Coffee Talk" is a visual novel, there is no argument about that. If you dislike visual novels you will not enjoy this game. However, if you can actually appreciate visual novels you will see how much of a masterpiece this game is. With beautiful pixel graphics and a gorgeous soundtrack, this game is going to hit you right in the feels. Not to mention the outstanding writing of the characters which made me feel like I was actually the barista and these were my closest friends. I recommend this game to people who enjoy visual novels and who appreciate great writing.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoy games outside of competitiveness. I already wanted to work in a coffee shop -and have magical creatures as clients-. The only details is that the change between music is very abrupt but it's only me because I am tricky. It also would be good implements. It would also be good if a kind of activity was implemented between days, such as being able to buy recipes or something.

I don't really consider "Coffee Talk" a game. It's a visual novel that gets occasionally interrupted by a mini-game where you choose three ingredients for a hot drink. If you like you can draw a smiley face on it, or an eggplant, but just like the drink itself it's more or less inconsequential. The game doesn't even acknowledge when you find receipts on your own, and updates the ingame version of their social media profiles of a customer if you get it right. Those profiles are, once more, mildly interesting at best. What would you expect from people who think of you as their best friend because you didn't screw up pressing three buttons on a machine and drew genitalia on their espresso?! At no point during the dialogue - that has no respect for anyone's time, especially not the player's - my general feelings towards "Coffee Talk" went beyond "mildy entertained". I enjoyed the artstyle and the music, but the animations were sparse and made some of the customers look like I put far too much caffeine into whatever they ordered. Especially the first customer you meet looks like she is constantly having seizures since the animation is just stretching her upper body, while her arms were left in place. Others have the same constant random hickups. It doesn't help that everything else is so serene and relaxed. The lackluster writing also damages the ambitions to grapple some heavy handed social issues. Can you really highlight racism in a scenario where people are actually different *species*? Species where "They are all ****" is not a stereotype, because it's a fact? But never mind, since the stories themselves drown in endless smalltalk, and the nicest thing I can write about it that the experience is too short to become offensive. But it certainly didn't leave any lasting memories or even food for thought. If you have some time to waste and want to read some soap-style drama, combined with a decent ambiance and occasionally throw a drink together, this one won't fail you. But don't expect more from it.
