It’s a campy, playable game. A game one can enjoy in a several sittings, when you have disposable time and money to spend. And perhaps a much lower price point.

Code Violet is the worst game I've ever played. The narrative lacks any substance, and all of the characters are devoid of any personality. Further, all of the female characters are written to be mere objects designed for nothing more than sex appeal, which goes double for the protagonist. The gameplay and presentation are also extremely lifeless and boring, with neither having any redeeming qualities. Considering the game is $50, all I can say is this: do not buy this game.

The dreadful studio that brought you Quantum Error has delivered a game very much in line with its library of shameless trash. It is legitimately sad that not enough people knew of its lineage before Code Violet benefited from a whole lot of ill-gotten hype.

It's just plain rude to publish something like this. The game is a total scam, like nothing else. To claim that it's not being released on PC because of modders—come on, it's only not being released on PC because of refunds... Because it's impossible to refund a game on PlayStation. Make games for fans, not critics? Well, gamers are the biggest critics.

Code Violet falls short of its inspirations. Although the concise adventure has some strong moments, with some great interior environments, it fails to create menacing enemies that evoke fear in the player. Bugs hinder the experience, often leading to clumsy moments that break the immersion. Unfortunately, fans of Dino Crisis will have to keep waiting for that spiritual successor they’ve been hoping for.

Code Violet is one of those games that is born convinced it has something to say and dies without ever really finding the right words. It leans on a powerful imagery, uses it as a crutch, and then lets it fall, unable to stand on its own. A spectacular failure, and this is its true problem: it is a timid, confused product, lacking the identity necessary to turn inspiration into vision. When you play with the ghosts of the past, you should know how to evoke fear, not nostalgia. Here, neither happens, and all that remains is the feeling of having witnessed a wasted opportunity.

Code Violet was expected to be the spiritual successor to Dino Crisis, but expectations have taken their toll. Teamkill Media repeats the same mistakes it made with Quantum Error, with a shooter that borrows elements from various survival horror games without fully understanding them. Although it can be fun at times, the combination of disparate and nonsensical mechanics, technical glitches, and poor design decisions ultimately results in a product that is not worth its $50 price tag, nor even close.

Code Violet is a mess. Crummy combat, tedious exploration, technical problems. The sexy costumes and horny camerawork seem at odds with both Violet as a character and the tone of the writing. Even at six hours long it's tough to recommend, because in six hours you could just watch Jurassic Park three times. And if you did that, you’d never once feel the need to justify what’s currently on your screen.

Code Violet was such a depressing experience, nothing works in this game and even when it does, it wasn’t even interesting to keep me going.

90% of this game’s story happens in the final 10 minutes, but nothing is paid off, mostly because there’s nothing to pay off.

TeamKillMedia has made a solid game! It’s not a AAA or AA title no it’s not, What we have is a complete game that tries to capture the Dino Crisis and Resident Evil vibes.
Story-3.5/5
Story is very interesting it’s a new take for sure on this topic. But the story telling is light you need to read the digital pads to put it all together. Gameplay- 4/5
Gameplay had very few hiccups but everything workd. During my play through on a PS5 Pro after a little learning, The dodge and shooting mechanics worked well and as intended. The puzzle while light were were fun to figure out. Audio-5/5
The audio is phenomenal I felt the thunderous boom of the T-rex feet through my 5.2 surround sound as it chased after me. The dinosaurs noises in the distance are traumatizing and the sound of the stupid Compie’s will give you PTSD. Graphics-3.5/5
These may be fixed in a patch if so it would be 4/5 Texture pop ins were rampant. But when they worked the Dino’s looked terrifying and each one like there Jurassic Park counters. Violet was very well made the attention definitely went towards her and the Dinos. The other models were not given the same love. But everything looks good. Aside from lip sync issues when the characters speak nothing else to mention. Overall-4/5 The game needs a few patches but it is in a playable state. People cannot expect GTA quality from every game. We need smaller games like this to succeed so we can have more diversity because studios are gonna take the safe route. From Raptor feet clacking behind you. To the T-Rex screaming at you. If you go into this with proper expectations. Code Violet is Dino good time.

This game lacked in just about every category, besides the initial suspense of the dinosaurs stalking you in the dark. It was released way too early and had so many issues with the graphics and glitches throughout. Not to mention the cringey voiceovers and **** there is another game eventually, I hope it will be far better than the original! Sorry Teamkill Media, but you guys dropped the ball on this one. Give it another 10 years, you will all be much more mature and better game developers.
