For a game based on a snack mix, Chex Quest HD is truly one of a kind. However, as a FPS, it lacks the polish needed to be anything more than a Doom clone with some silly trappings.

Chex Quest HD is a breezy blast for anyone who’s looking to spend an afternoon in the ’90s. Smoother shooting and tweaked animations make for a more legible experience that’s still true to the 1996 game, but the minimal package isn’t likely to win over players who aren’t as easily wowed by a “free” label in 2020. Missing UI and shallow extras turn this goofball oddity into the embodiment of the “only ’90s kids will understand” meme.

the sheer emotional rush one can expect to experience is border line euphoric in nature. I feel almost as though I have ascended for a brief moment while playing this game I saw God himself and he was in the shape of a Chex mix. the word is not only vastly impacted by this game but it is overseen by one Wheaty morsal of unnatural power. I cannot imagine how man first born sons where sacrificed to make a game of this vast and mortally superior experience that even calling it art is a vast understatement this game my peers this game is an awakening. if you chose Chex you chose God.
