It's not a perfect game. We're aware that this is an independent title, developed with care and passion, that will win over those who enjoy this type of experience. It has the soul of a classic and strays from the more commercialized modern formulas. It's a recommendable option for all types of players, especially those looking for something different within the driving genre.

CarX Street does a lot of things right. The drifting is a little weird, but you learn to adapt to the particular style of things. The most important bit, the racing, is good fun, with the kamikaze NPC cars offering a stiff challenge, quite apart from the other racers.

There is a lot of jank to CarX Street, yet the game is miraculously still pretty lovable. Don't go into it expecting it to make much sense, and you'll likely have a good time. With design that is bordering on anti-player, the game forces you to pay to refill your gas tank while constantly ramming you off the road with cross-traffic. But somehow, someway, it's still pretty fun.
