There is genuinely nothing redeeming about this game. The level design is terrible and repetitive. There are moments where you have to absolutely be so pin point accurate and if you mess up you have to go so far back and restart parts of the level. Not just that, but if you are trying to get the medals for the armadillo, there are moments they will place them right next to the end of the level and if you miss, you have to restart the entire mission. I don’t even want to play through these missions ONCE, let alone again just to get something the level designers decided to screw with the players. It is so unbelievably repetitive too that there is no feeling of progression. Playing through the same damned levels three times is just absurd. This is genuinely one of the most frustrating games I have played, and one of the worst I have played. There isn’t even enough goofy failures like in Bubsy 3D that I can at least laugh at. Everything is just uninspired and frustrating. I had more fun with Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties, and that is barely a game period. At least that game made me laughwith its absurdity. Paws On Fire is genuinely one of the worst games I have ever played.

An auto-run platformer isn't the worst idea ever, but for 2019 and the amount of other platformers that were released before Bubsy: Paws On Fire, this game just makes no sense. I know Bubsy 3D showed that Bubsy didn't really turn out well with full 3D environments like Super Mario 64, but giving that another chance would have been way better than this. The game does have some really good colors, but overall the gameplay was super repetitive and boring. I found it ironic that the gameplay was extended by requiring you to play the exact same levels again with just different characters. Playing as different characters is cool, but after one play through each it gets old pretty quickly. If this game was cheaper and released on phones and tablets I wouldn't see it as that bad, but for a $20+ title that was released on PS4 in 2019, I don't see this is a full game. I did fully 100% of the game, but that was a true task, and came to be tough with how boring the gameplay got. Maybe at a discount, the game is worth it, but I don't see people spending that much time playing it.

It's bloody Bubsy, enough said. Fine, I guess I'll say more. It's repetitive, keeps whatever you'd call Bubsy's personality, and it somehow is bloody inconsistent from the rest of the games it's like Meat Boy Forever but with Bubsy's franchise. and we know how that turned out with an actually decent platformer, so heaven pray Bubsy dies soon.

This bobcat needs to be put to **** game was a running platformer where you cannot slow down...just jump or slide or fly. the characters are extremely annoying...I think that my ears was bleeding at one **** WORTH THE MONEY!!!

Bubsy is back with a vengeance in the new high octane bubsy paws on fire, pick from a whopping 4 funny hilarious characters and play a re-branding of an already released **** with bubsy...from the 1993 title...called bubsy...

Honestly, It’s Decent Though it has some issues and is a little annoying at times, Paws On Fire is definitely an enjoyable game.

Bubsy Paws On fire Infuriating unfun, but addicting Bubsy Paw on fir is a 6 hour long basically endless runner platformer where you play as 3 characters, bubsy virgil, and woolie And I hate everything about it. The game starts with Bubsy being an unlikable ****.. yay cant wait to play as this character. But basically this is a score chase with 3 worlds and 9 levels in each… Sounds like nothing, and youd be right… however theres a catch.. you have to unlock levels with medals much like a kart racing campaign so youre forced to play every level 2 to 3 times as all 3 characters thankfull all 3 charcters levels are different Bubsy is a very beginner friendly platformer, you can jump, glide, and slam through enemies, virgils levels are easily the hardest of them all, as he cant kill enemies or soar.. youre relying on his double jumps and slides… and then heres woolie which is a shooter level and my favorite and also the easiest of the 3… Bubsy Paws on fire just feels lazy, the level design is unmemberable prcedirually generated feeling garbage However.. the spice of chalklenge Bubsy Paws on fire offers makes it so hard to put down. That’s right.. I hate bubsy paws on fire and I hate myself from not being able to stop playing… Going through levels as all characters, collecting the 3 pieces to unlock a bonus level for a bonus medal… dying over and over again all while doing this… soending hours on the stupid bubble level boss I couldn’t stop playing… it got its hooks in me and I hate that I couldn’t walk away without reaching the end… Bubsy Paws on fire still at the end of the day is a lazily designed game But it does have that one more try, 1 life per checkpoint hook to it if youre a monster like me into that kind of thing sometimes I give Bubsy Paws on Fire a 5/10

Playing Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back was the most amazing experience of my entire life. The tight controls, deep story, memorable characters and gorgeous visuals compliment an game that it will be hard to put down any time soon. It may have also replaced Shrek Super Slam as my favourite game.

Bubsy Paws on Fire! is a spinoff by the Bit.Trip Runner devs and it's just like those games. There's 4 characters to play as each with different level layouts and playstyles with a fair challenge. If you dig those, you'd dig this.

Awesome Game!!! I did not expect much of the game until I met it. An original game, beautiful and extremely fun. The developers are to be congratulated!!! Excellent game for kids and adults!

This just feels like a ripoff of Runner3, its almost exactly the same game but with bubsy.

A true tribute to the Bubsy franchise. And a great runner developed by Choice Provisions. Great gameplay and variety of characters, fabulous soundtrack composed by Stemage. It's brilliant when rescuing several elements from previous games and even from the Pilot of the TV program.

Bubsy: Paws on Fire is an simple auto runner. However, go a little deeper you and you will find an amazingly fun experience. While it's first level may drag on a bit you will find that this game oozes with charm and passion to bring Bubsy back from the past. It is a true challenge, like some older games I grew up with. Give it a true try you will not be disappointed. Top notch soundtrack, audio and graphics.

"Paws on Fire" is a great addition to the Bubsy franchise as it offers a challenging game that works well with Bubsy as a character. Where some may have found the Bubsy game released in 2017 to be too short, "Paws on Fire" offers multiple maps and many levels, each playable as three different characters per level. The more levels you play, the more tokens you earn to move on to later levels. Also favorites of the franchise have enjoyed how the game also brings back the characters seen in Bubsy 2 and the one shot Bubsy cartoon from the 90s. Game scores a 9 out of 10 as the game can be laborious at first for the first day or so as the moves of Bubsy and Virgil are slightly more difficult characters to play. During that time the Woolie and Arnold levels offered simpler gameplay until the other moves can be mastered. Also the death animations, something Bubsy is known for, was not present in this game. Above all the game is a good continuation of the Bubsy game series, challenging whimsical fun with plenty of material for ongoing gameplay.

Bubsy: Paws on Fire is the first ever Bubsy game to be anywhere near good. I loved a lot of things, from the fun gameplay and level design, to the charming and funny dialogue. There were parts in this game that could be better, such as the animation and the controls could use a bit more work, but I overall enjoyed my time with the game and I can't wait to see what Bubsy has in store for us next.

As someone who is a fan of Bubsy and the Runner games (by Choice Provisions) I found this game to be a match made in heaven! Pros: 1. They stayed true to source material with the personality of the Bubsy characters. This really feels like a continuation of the cartoon pilot they started way back in the early 90s. 2. Choice's character designs are cute and quirky and the art style is great too! The characters are really lovable and I hope they inspire some toys and collectibles soon! 3. The Autorunner style gameplay is really fun! The shoot-em-up segments and bonus levels are a blast too! 4. Stemage's musical score for this game is fantastic! 5. The Character animations are really well done. Cons: 1. While the Autorunner style gameplay is great, I hope the next Bubsy game is more of a traditional platformer. 2. Multiplayer would have been nice. (The shoot-em up segments would be great on multiplayer)

This game is an outstanding edition to the Bubsy franchise. The game is well worth your money and provides hundreds of hours of pure fun. If you have the chance to play this game I highly recommend it!

Don't let the first few levels of Bubsy: Paws on Fire deter you! As the difficulty ramps up, so does the fun of the game. The colourful and smart presentation is a positive step up from previous Bubsy games, the self-aware loading screen text and character quotes adding a charm that had me smiling through most of my playthroughs. There are also a couple of cutscenes featuring spoken dialogue, and bosses to fight. The music is very catchy, and a joy to listen to. It syncs with the level designs too. Each playable character has a unique moveset, and can have their appearance customised via an ingame shop that is free of microtransactions. Bubsy can use his signature glide in mid-air, and pounce through enemies. Virgil can double jump and slide, familiar to anyone that has played the Bit.Trip Runner games. Woolie can shoot enemies and fly freely in her spaceship. Arnold rolls around an axis in forward-scrolling underground tube levels. Following minimal requirements to progress through the game will detract from the fun. There is a layer of depth when it comes to collecting everything and achieving as high a score as possible. Generating points increases a Bonus meter, which not only grants a multiplier to the points you receive, but also changes the appearance of your character over time. For example, Bubsy goes on fire, then transforms into a spooky but dazzling cosmic entity. Touches like this make gaining points feel more rewarding. Now, some criticism. The horizontal scrolling of each course is a bit jittery, which isn't easy on the eyes when following things that come towards you. Flashing particles that appear when collecting items can be a bit off-putting too. Overall, the game feels good to play, and gets really, really challenging, something I value highly in this age of gaming. Anyone that is familiar with Bubsy's world through games, television and comics will feel a warm, fuzzy hug of nostalgia.

This game is filled to the brim with tons of content, the controls are smoother than silk, and the soundtrack is kickass. It's packed with over 100 games and tons of customization alongside the widest array of playable characters in any Bubsy game to date. Alongside all this content, it's respect and homage to the original releases, no matter your opinion on the older games, is quite an admirable feat, including more obscure characters like Virgil Reality and even Oinker P. Hammm. Definitely a must play.

A surprisingly fun game that blew me away. I enjoyed all the different characters the graphics are decent and best of all, it isn't boring or unfair. A simple but fun game. Get the game while it's on sale for a good deal!

This is the best Bubsy game yet! With many cool stage themes, it starts kinda slow with mostly wood themes, but it gets more intresting in the second world! All the cutscenes are also well animated and funny. Everyone should buy this game
