Borderlands 3 is a fun experience on the Switch, even with its blurry graphics and floaty framerate. However, removing the split-screen mode and the online multiplayer being limited to 2 players only is a letdown.
All in all, Borderlands 3 still delivers a looter-shooter from the studio that invented looting-shooting in the first place, and anyone hungry for frenetic combat and tons of guns will find plenty to love here. It may not have the same pull as Borderlands 2, but coming in second to one of the best that’s ever been is still a great place to be.
All things considered, Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition is a pretty neat achievement that’s only slightly undermined by the fact that we had an even better port of an even more well-received open-world game from a previous generation just a few months ago. Even so, this is a fun game in its own right, and if you’re after a big, open-world shooter with lots of guns and gore on the Switch, this is definitely one of your better options.

Borderlands has changed a lot, he lost the silly and crude humor he had before due to political correctness and the studio woke spin

This game had potential but the story is ridiculous, the action is very inconsistent its borderline enjoyable and then makes you do a bunch of arbitrary side quests that feel like a chore. The driving mechanic was painful and the mindless navigating back and forth made it incredibly tedious. I don't recommend this game unless you like childish goofy storytelling with choppy gameplay.

I am leaving a positive review for Borderlands 3 after 250 hours of solid game play. I will keep it short, if you get all the DLCs and make a couple a builds, the game is phenomenal. I got so much joy from the story, the HUGE amount of weapons, bosses, and even the music. Great with friends too! Words at this point can not describe the pleasure and entertainment I had in this game. Unfortunately, I did run out of content and after collecting every single good legendary weapon in the game, I leave this review in hopes that some one else gets that same joy when playing this game.

Hey Poor Player
Though the Switch may not be as powerful as some of its counterparts, Gearbox Software still managed to do a phenomenal job taking so much content and condensing it into one neatly tied package without taking a major loss in performance. Still, this Switch port’s lack of some multiplayer options, along with a slight visual downgrade and lengthier loading times between stages when compared to other platforms, are a bit of a bummer. However, none of these minor flaws take away from the excitement that Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition provides, whether at home or on the move.

Nintendo Life
Though many doubted how well Borderlands 3 would work on the Switch, we’re pleased to report that this is a well-built port that effectively squeezes down almost the entirety of Borderlands 3 onto Nintendo’s handheld. The deep loot system, stable performance, goofy tone, snappy gunplay, and enormous amount of content all come together to make this one an easy recommendation, though those who prefer multiplayer may be disappointed at the diminished options here. Gearbox rightly deserves praise for the work the team put in here to make this happen; Borderlands 3 on the Switch is well worth your time.

Borderlands 3 is a solid port over to the Nintendo Switch. What the game lacks in looks and performance, it makes up for in just about everything else.

The game often crashes, and you may never know next time it will crash. I had times where I'd play for 2 hours or so - and it would crash, other times I'd go in game, visit a shop - and it would instantly crash. There are a lot of bugs and even missing textures at later levels. If you expect to 100% the game - forget it. Some of the collectibles can't be interacted with, other times (like car hijack) are impossible to do, because.....there's simply no floor under the car, so it's constantly falling through the level, explodes - and then falls down again, and etc. Slow inventory menus and menus in general. No weapon wheel. It's BIZZARE, that Borderlands still doesn't have a weapon wheel like in Doom Eternal, and you need to hold in your head constantly how many times you need to press X to get the right weapon out. It's a game where you constantly need to swap weapons because of different bonuses and elemental damage, and such game not having a weapon ****'s weird, to say the least. Oh, and if you think of submitting bugs to support - might as well just try to send it to them written on a letter and delivered by pigeon - because all support can say is "check game cache" or "redownload the game". Only one patch was released for the game - and even then they didn't make patch notes, so people could figure out what was patched. If it's your first time playing borderlands - go buy the 1st/2nd/pre-sequel bundle, it'll look and run better. Buy 3rd on Switch ONLY if you're a crazy borderlands fan. If it's possible - buy it on any other platform, not Switch; at least you'll get better graphics.
