Bomberman Land Touch! 2

The action is solid, and there are plenty of maps and options (including Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection play), but there's little that series fans haven't seen before. [Feb 2008, p.88]

You'll find enough options and maps to keep you happy, the best part definitely being the eight-player support with one cart. Slightly less cool is the four-player support via Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection, though it's tough to complain.

As a standalone package, Bomberman Land Touch! 2 is a wholly recommended Nintendo DS game: the mini-games are fun, the adventure is fulfilling, and the multiplayer support is an absolute blast. But for those who've already fronted the thirty bucks for the original game, it might be a harder sell.

Few DS titles on the shelves right now can compare to the addictive (and often nostalgic) delights found in BLT2. The playability stands as an example of how DS touch games should be made.

The core Story Mode and the various mini-games contained therein are mildly enjoyable diversions for a time, but what you're likely to really want to sink you're teeth into is the classic Battle Mode and its excellent online support.

Too similar to the first agame but it's a simple and engaging adventure. [May 2008, p.85]

Some ten mini-games that might entertain you for a while but fail to offer something new when compared with the previous game. But, of course, it’s the Battle mode with up to eight players that will provide all of the fun. [May 2008]

Bomberman Land Touch! 2 proves that deception truly is a sly creature.

If you have no other way to play Bomberman then by all means pick this up for the online modes, otherwise it is best left on the shelf.
