This is one of the best games I've ever seen, one of the finest roguelike games ever. Play this game, recommend it to everyone, introduce it to everyone; let everyone play this masterpiece.

Very good action roguelike with tons of content, smooth combat and tons of combos.

I want to like Astral Ascent. It has a dedicated Linux version (as per the Linux EULA, I'm obliged to mention I use Linux), the visuals are good, the music is fine, voice acting is pretty good, and the action is decent. But, I, just, dunno, it's, just, kinda, clunky. I've played for a dozen hours at least, and I still don't really understand the upgrades. It's unnecessarily obtuse, I don't even have a "fire shield", why am I offered an upgrade that boosts its duration? What's the difference between Gambits and Imprints? Why would spells need two different types of upgrades? The spells can level up, too? How am I supposed to tell the effective difference between a Nimbus, Plasma, and Lightning Orb if they're all electric elements? It feels like Disgaea level micro-management without the possibility to power grind. And back to the action, it's good, but it's not nearly as snappy and fun as ScourgeBringer's. The story seems better, at least, but it's not nearly as interesting as Hades. I dunno, I'd rather play something else.

Un rogue like solide, sympa à faire en coop. Dynamique, avec du beau pixel art, des combats nerveux et une difficulté similaire à la moyenne du genre. Le tout manque parfois de lisibilité, surtout en coop, tant dans les combats que dans les menus, et les multiples éléments de build demandent également un temps d'apprentissage/ d'adaptation.

Le note de ce jeu est étonnement basse. Il y a vraiment très peu de défauts et pour moi c'est grand minimum un 8.5/10, c'est un des meilleur roguelite auquel j'ai joué. Je rajoute un point pour le coup de cœur visuel.

One of my very favourite rogue likes and I expect my rating to increase as they continue releasing content. There are so many choices to make during a run that comes with big payoffs. Enemies gain move-sets as the game pushes you to improve. The art and characters give the whole game this fuzzy and serene atmosphere. Definitely underrated.

Excellent roguelite, feels a bit like dead cells/hades. Worth playing for any fans of the genre

Master Roguelike Piece, tons of builds, posibilitys, metaprogresion, unlockeables, gameplay tempo, beautyfull pixel art and lore. With a devolper team that keep releasing free updates for more than a year with more content and quality of life improvements in to the game. Even Pvp.... Actually its in his version 1.5, wich are 5 mayor updates, each one making the game bigger, better, more accesible and more balanced than ever.

I absolutely adore this game it is a Roguelite in a similar style to Dead Cells with gorgeous pixel art and a fun collection of characters with varying abilities and personality which makes for an entertaining time seeing the different ways everyone interacts. The gameplay loop is solid and hits the craving for one more run with the different builds holding my interest and the way that skills interact, I am fond of the voice work in the game as well the whole experience has just been checking my boxes to make me love the game and I can't recommend it enough. Bonus points: Calie's hands are the right shade for the palms and when that care is taken with art direction it is a bonus point for me.

Fantastic game with great combat, perfect balancing and extremely slick visuals. Basically Hades but from a side scrolling perspective. If you like roguelikes or metroidvanias then you owe it to yourself to give this game a shot.

Literally made an account just to leave this review. One of the best rogue-lites I’ve played. Would highly recommend. Hoping for more content in the future!

Perfect Roguelite with a good progression. I played with my little brother and both of us loved it. The bosses are super well made and the cutscenes are impressive. I can see myself playing it for a long time and coming back to it every year.

Really an excellent game. The game feels very fluid and fun and there is always something new to do. The amount of content is really insane

This not game a joke, don't spend your money, clunky gameplay, outdated mechanics

Fast paced satisfying combat especially the bosses fight is mind blowing, Art & Animation is just top notch, fully voiced with almost 8000 lines, solid meta progressions with destiny (difficulty) levels up to 54 (the enemies & bosses can get more mechanics / attack move), 17 unique endings, you can learn more about all of the characters the more you progress. This game is truly among my favorites Roguelike / lite with Hades, Dead Cells. You can tell how the developers put so much effort & love towards their game, i encouraged everyone who likes Hades / Dead cells or roguelike in general to at leash try the game.

A delightfully charming roguelike. Came for the beautiful, colourful pixel art – stayed for the addicting gameplay loop. This game keeps me saying ”one more run”. The skill system seemed a bit complex at first, but when it clicks it’s very rewarding. A fair challenge, but you can land on some insane builds over time. Up there with Hades among my favourite roguelites. The OST deserves extra praise, wonderful music.
