Death on the Nile isn’t a must-play adventure, but it’s at least generally tolerable – which is more than can be said about it as an Agatha Christie adaptation. On that front, it fails, so if that’s why you’re interested in it, prepare for disappointment. Still, if you’re fond of point-and-click mysteries, there’s probably enough here to be interesting.

Another good game from the creators of Hercule Poirot games. Hercule Poirot - Death on the Nile isn't as good as its predecessor, Hercule Poirot - Murder on the Orient Express, but it's still very, very entertaining and a good game! The graphics are good and an improvement over its predecessor. It also offers many of the same qualities as its predecessor: a good story, fun and varied puzzles, and funny interactions. The various environments are well-designed, and the main story on the Nile is particularly appealing. It's also sufficiently innovative compared to its predecessor. Is it perfect then? Nope. The puzzles are sometimes too easy (the deductions are ridiculously easy and gives no challenge) and sometimes very difficult, with the balance sometimes seeming off. The ratio of mini-puzzles to large puzzles and the main puzzles also seems a bit off. The new character profiles are nicely conceived, but don't immediately add much to the game. Furthermore, the 70s style has to appeal to you, and that's a matter of taste. So, greatly done and awaiting the next installment of Hercule Poirot!

A nice game but it takes forever for something interesting to **** honestly a bit of a let down when you compare it to the previous game. I think the puzzle could have been a little better too. Overall it's a good game to play if you want to just relax but thats about it.

The expanded world of Agatha Christie – Death on the Nile might feel a bit TOO big at times, but the new playable character does add to the story and nothing gives a greater sense of accomplishment than solving a mystery as Hercule Poirot.

Above all, Death on the Nile is an excellent detective story. The gameplay is immersive, the puzzles are interesting and the characters are distinctive. Technically, it's satisfactory and, since each chapter takes at least an hour, it's not a game you can complete in a weekend.

Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile is a cosy murder mystery to curl up on the couch with on a chilly autumn evening under a cuddly blanket with a hot cup of cocoa and a messy toast sandwich. It's a lovely break from fast-paced games where the heart is constantly pumping like a sledgehammer in the chest and the pulse is alarmingly high.

All things considered, considering the target audience of all Microids' Poirot games to date and their evolution over time, despite the quality of the writing and narrative, we can't help but consider Death on the Nile a small step backwards, or, to be more polite, at least a "stop." The weak puzzles and the artistically simple technical aspects didn't convince us. The overall experience is decent, if you lower your expectations a bit and ignore the two previous Blazing Griffin games, which, in our opinion, were a bit more complex and interesting.

Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile brings some inventive puzzles in a fun 70's setting but unfortunately also comes with an unwanted B-plot swapping the Poirot murder mystery for a ridiculous conspiracy chase.

The result of all this is a singularly confusing experience. There are moments when Death in the Nile does shine, even in its new bits. It makes a mystery out of glass being added to a caviar verrine, for example, and it requires actual detective gameplay. But then it goes through a lengthy section where we stumble aimlessly across the rooftops of Cairo, looking for one interactable door. It’s bits like these that make Death in the Nile feel bloated. A classic Poirot tale that keeps getting interrupted by a considerably less interesting one.

The best Poirot game released so far! The adventure is lengthy, with a wide variety of puzzles, an excellent story, and great characters. Highly recommended!
