Lucifer: Season 580
Aug 21, 2020
No matter what its failings are though, Lucifer will always be the show that gave us an archangel chasing a chicken while the Devil laughs in the background and Season 5 is going all-in on the parts of the show that make it such an addictive watch.

Love, Victor: Season 173
Jun 15, 2020
The nuances of questioning one's identity, experiencing a romantic and sexual spectrum, are flattened by catering to the same audience that drew Love, Simon to theaters in droves — queer folks, of course, but also straight audiences who aren't necessarily looking to engage in the myriad of identities and communities lumped together under one neatly packaged rainbow flag.

Never Have I Ever: Season 190
Apr 24, 2020
Kaling and Fisher have created a shockingly intimate first-gen portrait that's as comforting as your mother's chai and as salty as the gossip served with it.

The Baker and the Beauty: Season 177
Apr 13, 2020
The Baker and the Beauty, ABC's adaptation of the hit Israeli comedy Beauty and the Baker, is a punchy pastelito of goodness that would satisfy the sweet tooth of any rom-com fan.

Gentefied: Season 186
Feb 13, 2020
At turns hilarious, scathing, and sweet, Gentefied follows in the tradition of shows like One Day at a Time, Jane the Virgin, and Vida as a series with undeniable heart.

High Fidelity: Season 181
Feb 3, 2020
With Kravitz stepping into the role of Rob, now a queer black woman who owns a record store in Brooklyn, High Fidelity becomes a much more sincere project. By the very nature of the generational shift to millennials – and the change in leads – Hulu's adaptation has nary an ironic bone in sight.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Season 380
Jan 24, 2020
The character growth of Part 3 is simply put, delicious. The emotional payoffs of each journey keep the show from slipping into WTF!?! territory and firmly ground CAOS as a show with something to say outside of quippy one-liners.

Modern Love: Season 160
Oct 17, 2019
Perhaps most egregiously of all, Modern Love, the television show, sands down the sharp, cutting, and often brutally introspective edges of Modern Love, the column.

Criminal: UK: Season 170
Oct 10, 2019
While the cases themselves are strictly contained within each episode, over the course of the three in each volume, Kay and Smith give the audience tantalizing glimpses into what drives the detectives who are trying to enact justice.

Unbelievable: Season 192
Sep 13, 2019
Karen and Grace's tentative partnership is in turns comedic, antagonistic, judgmental, and extremely supportive, and Wever and Collette's chemistry is pitch perfect. ... The obstacles to reporting rape and other crimes of sexual nature are still to this day, astronomical. But the women of Unbelievable make it feel like justice could be within our grasp.
